“Incredible - Can’t wait to visit again!”

Riad Shemsi was the perfect stay in Marrakesh! As soon as you step inside, you feel relaxed and welcomed by the lovely staff. Abdall and Rachid were so helpful and always so happy to help. They were both very knowledgeable on the local area with great food recommendations and help with organising activities. We were served traditional tea and biscuits on arrival and throughout the stay which was delicious. Breakfast had a great variety of traditional Moroccan pastries, spreads, coffee, fresh orange juice, fruit salad. House keeping was great and our rooms were pristine. All communal areas were very clean and tidy and ready to use. We booked a massage that was within the Riad and this was amazing - very relaxing! The location was perfect in the Kasbah area, it felt safe and tucked away enough from the chaos of the main streets. The pool was very clean and always kept at the perfect temperature. We would recommend Riad Shemsi to any of our friends and family planning to visit Marrakesh. We can’t wait to visit again - hopefully very soon!

“Location, Staff, Food, Room; We had everything we could’ve wished for!”

The staff (particularly Abdel) were fantastically helpful, helped us navigate the entirety of Marrakesh and made suggestions to help us avoid being scammed, even did a cooking class for us with the chef! The room was comfortable and complete facilities, a lovely rooftop terrace and many a cat around to enjoy. Fabulous home cooked breakfast every day as well, which was particularly well done as it was Ramadan!

Riad Shemsi is in a perfect location. Abdel was extremely helpful and made our stay perfect. He met us from the taxi for a seamless transfer. 10/10 for service and kindness from all of the staff we met, would definitely recommend staying here and hope to return one day.

We stayed in 4 different riad in Marrakesh and Marroc, but this was the best! Super friendly personal, comfortable bed, fast wifi, enough large room, super shower -ideal for two too :-) -. The breakfast is amazing, and the rooftop is also beautiful. Highly recommend!

“Outstanding”

All of the staff were absolutely lovely, so accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. Bed was comfy, room was warm. Breakfast was vast. Mint tea was plentiful at any time day/night. Abdul was very helpful regarding places to visit, percentages to pay when bartering, etc. There was always someone there to hand. Roof terrace had 360° views and was perfect for catching some rays.

Our stay at this riad in Marrakech was nothing short of exceptional. What truly made our experience unforgettable was the incredible hospitality. Adam kindly picked us up from Café Clock, making our arrival completely stress-free, and welcomed us with some of the most delicious Moroccan tea we had during our trip. Abdel and Rashik were amazing, always available to help us navigate the Medina, offer advice, and ensure everything about our stay ran smoothly. No request was ever too much, and their warmth and attentiveness made us feel genuinely cared for. The rooms were spotless, thoughtfully decorated, and incredibly peaceful, with comfortable beds and all the amenities we could ask for. Waking up to the quiet courtyard and enjoying breakfast there each morning was a highlight—fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The riad’s location was also ideal, tucked away just enough to feel serene but still within easy reach of the Medina and all its energy. After a busy day exploring Marrakech, coming back felt like returning to a private sanctuary. Overall, this stay exceeded all expectations. It wasn’t just accommodation, it was an experience. We would absolutely return and recommend it to anyone looking for a truly special place to stay in Marrakech.

Absolutely gorgeous peaceful Riad away from the hustle and bustle but with easy walking distance to everything. The staff were so welcoming and helpful.

“Wonderful stay in a beautiful Riad”

We really enjoyed our stay in Riad Shemsi. From before we arrived, they were very communicative and helped to arrange a pickup from the airport. I would recommend this to all travellers unfamiliar with Marrakesh because it meant we were met where the driver dropped us off and shown to the Riad. Upon arrival we were provided with a lovely mint tea and made to feel very welcome. The room was very comfortable and clean and having breakfast every morning was lovely. We took up the offer of having dinner at the Riad on our final night and it was by far the best meal we had in Marrakesh! In terms of the location, it is slightly out of the centre, but it’s still very easy to walk to anywhere in the Medina. We were actually very happy to be in the Kasbah because it felt more calm and quiet than other parts of the Medina!

“Wonderful stay with superb staff to look after you”

The property is within the walls of the old city and as expected its access is via narrow lanes. The lanes are kept clean. The Riad itself is very well maintained. The staff take good care and guide you with good tips on where to go and what to do. Neighbourhood is quiet and not noisy. Breakfast was really very good with a good mix of Moroccan and continental choices. If I get a chance again, I would definitely stay here again.

We like everything, they serve amazing breakfast and the staff are really really friendly. If you come here, please enjoy at least an afternoon sunbathing at the amazing rooftop with the nicest views!
