“Our stay at Riad Makech”

Riad Makech is the perfect place to stay when visiting Marakkech. The location of the hotel within the walls of the medina is convenient as the Jemaa el-Fnaa market is less than a 5 minute walk away and pick-ups for excursions are possible from the hotel. The rooms are well-presented and have Morrocan accents to create an authentic feel. The air conditioning was welcome and together with a large, comfy bed, helped us get a good night's sleep. We were given a choice of the available rooms on arrival which was lovely and our room (room 3) was cleaned daily and fresh towels provided. Breakfast was plentiful and varied, and served in typical Morrocan dishes on a beautiful terrace with the offer to change food items for alternatives. But what made our stay exceptionally lovely was the hospitality shown by Suleiman - a member of staff who gave us the warmest greeting each time we returned to the riad, no matter the time. He ensured our stay was perfect by making us coffee without charge, giving us ideas for the best excursions and organising a taxi to the airport. We would highly recommend this riad for couples wanting an authentic stay and start to your holiday. 5 stars from us!!!

Out stay at Riad Makesh was the best choice we made coming to Marakkesh. Maroccans are know for their hospitality and Sulayman embodies this completely. From clear communication before arrival. To opening the door at any hour of the day and night with a friendly smile. To serving delicious Maroccan breakfast at the rooftop explaining cultural fenomena. The ladies around, less verbal but ever friendly brew delicious mint tea and keep the place spotless clean. Practicalities: there are much needed airco’s in the room. The shower is great! With good temperatures and power. The matras is on the hard side. The location is in a quiet street, on walking distance from all highlights, close to the airport. When coming back to Marrakech, we surely will stay here again!

The location is fantastic and the staff is super helpful. We had a room on the first floor with an outside window, which was great. The beds are comfortable and the aircon great.

The breakfast was great. The staff was very attentive and helpful. You are welcomed to the hotel , asked to sit down and then served mint tea with a biscuit . A nice touch for the guests ! Location was good. In 5 minutes you are right inside the medina where everything is happening.

“Perfect riad in the Medina”

Location was perfect to visit the city, close to all touristic places and walkable from them. Staff really friendly and always ready to help. Room has everything you need and the breakfast was slightly different every day! I would definitely come back to the same riad.

Breakfast was great, lots of variations, different fruits every day, fresh juice, coffee, tea, eggs, jams on a nice and sunny terrace. The staff was great, they went above and beyond to meet your needs, super friendly and helpfull!! I would recommend to everyone!

Selaiman our host went above and beyond for us any chance he got. Unbelievable hospitality. He freshly made takeaway breakfasts for us every morning when leaving early for tours. Would highly recommend staying at this property.

Had a fantastic stay! This Riad is a true gem right in the heart of the Medina. The location is perfect for exploring all the sights, yet it feels like a peaceful oasis once you step inside. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, making us feel at home from the first moment (best breakfast ever!!). We truly enjoyed our time here and will definitely be back! :)

The location was excellent, right in the heart of the medina but away from the noise. The riad was very comfortable and the staff were so friendly and very helpful. Communication before our arrival was excellent, airport transfers were arranged for us and our trip to the Agafay desert was planned and booked on our behalf.

The stay was great because of the people working there were so nice, welcoming, accommodating and made it a wonderful stay. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for something that is very central to Marrakesh and in walking distance to anything you may want to visit. Also walking from the main excursions pickup point (1 minute walk)
