The Econo Lodge Lakeside hotel is located on US 41 overlooking Lake Superior, offering beautiful lake and sunrise views. Property was opposite the water- only a short walk to get under the highway to access a walking path, or only a short drive into town. It was nice being outside of the main town centre.

“Great value and location.”
Great location although the water view is across the road and parking lot which is not bad but not great. We were greeted by a very friendly person working the front desk. Lobby and breakfast area is nice.

“Don’t stay here.”
Probably the worst motel breakfast I’ve ever had. It was lacking everything even maple syrup for the pancakes. Booked a Lakeview room totally obstructed view.

Horrible breakfast didn’t expect much but what they had wasn’t restocked
