“Perfect small hotel with stunning views and pool enjoy a relaxing seaside escape”

We were seeking a small hotel in a small less developed seaside resort for the final part of our travels in Turkey this June. We were very happy that we opted to stay in Selimiye and that we booked 5 nights in the Alice Tatil Evi. The hotel is on the edge of the resort, up a steep paved driveway, and has fantastic views out over the harbour and sea, from the rooms, breakfast area and infinity pool. We requested an upper floor room to get the best views and were very happy with our room ‘Mimosa’, which was on the top floor at the end of the building closest to the driveway, above the pool. There is also a second building overlooking the dining terrace with similar sea views. Each room has either a balcony or terrace. We loved sitting on our balcony with a glass of wine in the evenings – there is a fridge in the room and there are a number of mini markets in the town to buy supplies. There is also a great selection of good restaurants in the idyllic setting around the harbour (about 10mins walk away). You do need to be relatively fit through, to brave the steep climb back up the drive to the hotel, and then up the long flight of steps to the room doors!! This hotel is not suitable for those with mobility issues. Breakfast is included and this was brought to your table each morning and very enjoyable – a continental style platter of cheeses and salad items, a basket of bread and then daily changing options like homemade pancakes, eggy bread, filo pastries. Ali the owner/chef also offered eggs each morning, such as traditional menemen eggs or an omelette, which were all nicely cooked. There was also a good quiet air con unit above the bed which was great, as it was over 30C even in early June. There was also effective WiFi. The pool was suitably deep for swimming and a nice temperature. We would recommend this hotel to fellow travellers who are keen to get away from the big international beach resorts and enjoy a peaceful spot with stunning views.

The location was amazing, and the view is exceptional. Facility is quite new and nicely designed. We have enjoyed staying with my friends, spending time by the panoramic pool and easy access to the town. Breakfast served was so good and the staff was lovely. Mr. Ali hosted us himself, offered coffee when we arrived etc. We felt at home. :)

The pool and view sell this place. It's great. Breakfast was fantastic and large overlooking the sea on the terrace. 7--10 min walk to the habour and restaurants.

The breakfast, the pool and the position were splendid!

We stayed for a week and really enjoyed our time. The location is very beautiful and all restaurants, shops and beaches are easily accessible. Since the hotel is situated on a hill, there is always a bit of wind which makes time spent outside on the terrace or at the pool very enjoyable. Ali and his team are always there to help with any issues you might have and are really welcoming and considerate.
