“Amazing bush lodge - highly recommend!”

We travelled as 2 adults and 1 child and honestly loved - Everything! The staff, the food, the decor, the room, the animals! Fantastic, we didn’t want for anything whilst we were there. We didn’t have a car and got lifts to and from the nearest town which we were really grateful for! The food was incredible - highly recommend paying for evening meals, 3 courses every night we were stuffed! The atmosphere of the whole place was just amazing and we couldn’t believe how close the animals came to us. Really safe, a perfect bush lodge! We will definitely be back and recommend to anyone. We had a look around one of the safari tents and they also look fantastic! Wiele sorted lifts to and from the airport and all of our game drives, first class service with ease.

This location is next level, the hospitality is unknown, such a nice hosts and lovely staff. But above all: What A Place! So so beautiful, you just don’t know where to look. Everywhere there are seats, animals walk around the property freely, it’s not only a place to sleep, it’s an experience! (Also to get there by the way;) The food, no words can describe how awesome that is. Breakfast, dinner, the table, the singing staff, it is amazing and we stayed an extra night. Krugerpoort is 25 minutes away and it’s located just a few min from the crocodile river and the back of the Kruger Park.

Everything! Will and Rieta were amazing host, very warm and friendly. We had the set dinner two nights, and was amazingly delicious both nights. We had an early morning start one day, they packed breakfast for us, which is so thoughtful. Breakfast on our last day was very enjoyable as we were joined by beautiful wildlife. All the food provided were delicious, just wish we had room to eat it all! Definitely, highly, recommended!!

Breakfast with the wildlife all around was such a special environment. The effort put in by the staff to set up the breakfast “theme of the day” was excellent. A wide variety of food was put out for us with amazingly fresh fruit and juices.

This place is unlike anything I've experienced before. The hosts Willie (pronounced "Villy") and Marietta are super friendly and make you feel at home immediately. The food is prepared fresh for you and really hits the spot! You only have to ask and they will be delighted to help out with any special requests or advice on trips etc. Even to the point of arranging a guide for you picked up from the lodge. The animals that visit at breakfast make the whole experience surreal and unforgettable. Who'd have thought you could share breakfast with wild Kudu, Zebras, Impala, Nyala, warthog etc. Amazing. And in the evening being visited by Genet and Bushbabies while sipping wine on the patio is unforgettable. I would wholeheartedly recommend this place for an amazing time on the edge of Kruger.

There were so many animals around. Zebras would join us for breakfast, and even little warthogs (we nicknamed them Pumbaa) wandered by. The kudu were stunning — truly unforgettable. Sometimes monkeys would show up too, and the staff calmly keeps everything under control so guests can enjoy it comfortably. The best part, though, was the hospitality and warmth. We felt genuinely cared for: everyone was kind, attentive, and always ready to help. They even lent us binoculars for free, which was such a thoughtful touch. Both the owner and her husband were incredibly welcoming. The host is truly hands-on — always checking that everything is perfect, making sure everyone has eaten well and rested well. He was also so helpful when we arrived: he met us to make sure we found the road and got to the lodge safely. We also highly recommend the dinners — they were delicious, home-style, and clearly made with love. The owner cooks them herself, and she is a truly lovely woman — warm, memorable, and full of character. Thank you for the amazing atmosphere, the care, and that real “African vibe” where breakfast isn’t only shared with people. We would happily come back!

This is an absolutely incredible place, offering a profound sense of peace and tranquility. On the property, you can see wild animals such as zebras and kudus roaming freely, which makes the experience truly special. All the food is homemade and absolutely delicious. The service is exceptional — the owners take wonderful care of you at all times and genuinely ensure that you get the very best out of your trip and overall experience. For example, one of the owners personally drove us to a restaurant for lunch, and we were upgraded to a stunning accommodation because it was our honeymoon. I would highly recommend everyone to visit this place.

“Absolutely amazing, cute decoration and lots of animals”

It was amazing! The owners are super friendly and they have created a cute African vibe atmosphere. There are wild pigs, kudu’s, wildebeest, bush baby’s and lots of zebra’s. The food is also wonderful. The owners made us feel super welcome and even got us a honeymoon surprise with bubbels!

Selected Wielewaal Bush Lodge after reading so many great reviews across a number of websites. Expectations were high and boy were they met and exceeded on our short 3 night stay. Owners were so helpful arranging transfers and safaris in advance. We stayed in Zebra tent, a great experience - luxury under canvas. Traditional breakfast enjoyed with Zebras, Mongoose, Warthogs, Kudo etc. Dinners were traditional and varied, eaten at the Boma A magical experience - I would not consider staying anywhere else if lucky enough to return to Kruger

I had the most incredible stay at Wielewaal Bush Lodge in Marloth Park. From the moment I arrived, I felt like I was in the heart of the bush - surrounded by wildlife that came right up to the lodge. Waking up to Kudus and warthogs passing by while having breakfast was such a surreal experience. The real highlight though was the hosts, Willie and Retha, they went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and their warmth and personal touch made the whole stay unforgettable. And the food… wow! Every meal was a treat, beautifully prepared and full of flavor. Dinner around the boma under the stars, was pure magic.

The location within Marloth Park could not have been more perfect! A luxurious, yet down-to-earth accommodation with everything you need to fully relax and surround yourself with all the beauty of what nature has to offer. Everywhere you look you can see animals! The breakfast is lucious and the quality surprised us every morning! The dinners were a real experience and the staff are just wonderful! The four lovely ladies in the kitchen make the most amazing dishes and Jeremiah and Leonarda make sure all the facilities run as they should! Of course a shout out to our superb hosts Marietta and Willy!

The atmosphere: The colonial style tents were amazing and the attention to the details was just on point. Marietta and Willie. The owners are the real value added to the place. Very caring towards the guests. The food. Just like my grandmother would have cooked it, if she had been born in South Africa. They should open a restaurant in Italy.

The place, the ambience and the host were really great. The true spirit and essence of Africa is reflected in the way things are presented and done there. It was a pleasure.
