Absolutely unforgettable. That’s the only way to describe our stay at Chelesa. If I could give it 6 stars, I would. From the moment we arrived, it felt like we had stepped into a private wildlife sanctuary. Zebras, impala, and kudu literally wandered up to our back door. At one point, we were standing in the kitchen and could almost reach out the window to touch a zebra it was that close. Watching them roam freely through the bush, sometimes just metres from where we sipped our morning coffee, was something we’ll be talking about forever. The location is absolutely phenomenal. You're immersed in nature, surrounded by the wild landscape of Marloth Park The road in is a bit bumpy but that's just part of the adventure, and well worth every single jolt for what awaits at the end. The hosts were exceptional. Westline, via WhatsApp, made everything seamless. She was responsive, helpful, and kind, whether it was fine-tuning our itinerary, booking experiences, or just answering questions! Then there’s Mondray, who met us on arrival and was the warmest, kindest human. He showed us how to use everything on the property (including how to safely feed the animals with the food pellets provided) and even gave me a spontaneous lift after a massage, talk about above and beyond! Daily housekeeping was an unexpected surprise, we weren’t expecting it at all, but it was such a lovely luxury in the middle of the bush. During our stay, we packed in a full-day safari in Kruger, a sunset safari, and quad biking - each organised effortlessly through Westline, and each one an experience in its own right. The guides were brilliant, the wildlife sightings were breathtaking, and the quad biking added a perfect bit of adrenaline to the mix. Honestly, I’ve nearly run out of superlatives to describe this place. It was magical, peaceful, exhilarating, welcoming, luxurious, and authentic—all at once. Chelesa is a rare gem, and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Chelesa was an outstanding home, and perfectly designed in every which way. The house was exceptionally comfortable and exceeded our expectations. Mondray and his team were superb, and checked in with us daily via WhatsApp to ensure we were happy and comfortable.

“Breathtaking”

It was breathtaking! The house is only a few years old so it feels very very new. It is modern and yet feels like home away from home. It is very clean and neat. New furniture, modern fittings. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a washing machine. The rooms are amazing, especially the master bedroom. There is a huge shower, a bathtub and an outside shower. (You have to use the outside shower, it is magical). The two other rooms also have separate bathrooms, so for a group of 6 absolutely perfect. The cherry on top of course is the animals that come greet you in the morning, we loved feeding them. Zebras, Kudus, Bushbuck, Warthog, they all visited. It was Marvelous and we will be back 100%. It was the best stay ever.
