Very helpful and welcoming staff, all of them. The room was comfortable and clean. We booked the basic room and it's a bit sqeezy for space. Fine for a few days but if you're planning to stay longer perhaps consider a larger room. Quite a good spread for for breakfast and they even lit the fire (winter off season) and offered to cook us eggs. Really extraordinary service. A great find.

Everything. Convenient location, close to the sea and pine park, a genius loci combining history of the place with up to date facilities and services, warm and professional staff. Spacious room, storage place, bathroom, super comfortable beds. Nice breakfast with fire place in the room. Last but not least: great value for the price. Specially next to other accommodation services / prices in the area. Next time in the region, hotel Massimo would the choice.

I will never stay at this hotel again. There are two main reasons for this. 1. The hotel failed to inform me, either during the reservation process or in any communication, that a charity event would be taking place on the night of my stay. At check-in I asked about the noise and the receptionist said the event would finish by 11 p.m. Unfortunately, at 11 p.m. the party became even louder. It was only after I contacted Booking.com around midnight that the event was finally stopped. However, loud conversations under the balconies and cigarette smoke continued until 2 a.m. 2. I also have no idea how this hotel holds three stars or an 8.5 rating on Booking. The rooms are extremely small, not properly ventilated, and the dirt seems to be covered with a layer of fresh paint. They clearly have not been renovated in a long time, and the photos online are misleading. When sitting on the toilet, my knees were literally touching the wall. The water in the shower was only lukewarm, and there is absolutely no sound insulation — every door closing in the corridor made a huge bang inside the room. I didn’t use the TV, but it looked to be around 21 inches. There were also no glasses, no kettle, and no basic in-room amenities one would normally expect, even in a three-star hotel.

We had train delays coming in and the staff volunteered to stay till we got there at 22:30 to check in. Everyone was super friendly and all around great experience.

The staff were very nice. We could park our car on the street, and the beach, restaurants, and promenade were all nearby. Breakfast was good, and they made cappuccinos on request. The hotel was clean.

I don't even know where to begin. I was so sad to leave. It's a hotel with a family atmosphere, everyone is incredibly kind and helpful, constantly asking if everything is okay. The breakfasts are delicious and fresh, and the coffee is excellent. The rooms may not be very large, but they are really clean and have everything you need. You can enjoy a glass of wine in the garden in the evening and breakfast on the terrace in the morning. The hotel is located in a beautiful area, right next to a forest leading to the beach and a promenade with restaurants and bars. You can stroll until late at night. It was wonderful.

“Gluten free options”

I asked for gluten free options and was presented a special platter of food personally by the chef. It was fantastic as l often can't eat anything much from a breakfast buffet l was really looked after well.

The location was great and very quiet at night. For the first time in a very long time in hotels, i had nice pillows to sleep on which resulted in a great nights sleep. The hotel is very pleasant and very well decorated. The breakfast was beautifully presented and was delicious. I will return!
