“A comfortable and well-located hotel for a short stay in Marburg.”

Overall, I had a pleasant stay at the Welcome Hotel Marburg. The staff was friendly and helpful, the breakfast was a good standard hotel buffet, and my room was spacious, bright and functional. The hotel is also very well located, directly opposite the elevator leading up to the old town, which makes exploring Marburg very easy. The hotel may not have a great deal of charm or personality, but for one night or a short stay it was absolutely fine and comfortable.

The location near the old city was great. Parking immediately below the hotel was really convenient. The breakfast buffet was impressive and ensured a good start of the day.

The location was WOW. We asked at reception how we located the old town and was told to take the elevator across the road. On arrival at the top of the elevator we were greeted with a beautiful centuries old town, Rathaus, cobbled streets etc Perfect. Definitely worth a second visit.

Location is great with the elevator to the market place across the road,see photo 1, and the car park beneath. The car park has a height restriction of 1.8m but the spaces are plenty big enough for my volvo v90, see photo 2, at the entrance there is one lane shared in and out but wait your turn and you are good. Hotel breakfast had good hot and cold buffet and a courtyard outside if weather permits. Room was air conditioned as spacious with everything you need. Staff very pleasant and all spoke English amongst other languages. Recommended.

Lovely large deluxe room at the quieter back of the hotel. We had to ask to be moved from our original room overlooking the noisy main street at the front of the hotel. Good secure bike storage in a locked cage under the hotel, accessible from the car garage. Bike repair tools available. Good varied breakfast buffet. Reception staff helpful, but not always friendly. English spoken by all staff. Carpet and seating area in room made it very comfortable. Bed and bedding comfortable. Dressing gown, small refrigerator and coffee machine in room.
