Overview
Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, Casa Alice Marbella Lodge is just 800 metres from the world class surf spot of Marbella. It offers yoga and surf lessons with surfboard rental. The villa has a sitting area where you can relax with a tropical garden with monkeys. All rooms feature views of the mountains or the garden and feature a shared or private bathroom. Most rooms have air conditioning while the twin room is provided with a fan and large windows. Guests can use the BBQ and filtered water for free. The villa is beautifully furnished in typical Guanacaste style with enriched ceilings, doors and furniture from local wood. Relax, surf or make daily trips to an array of touristic attractions. Free private parking is available on site. Tamarindo is 35 km away and Nosara is 30 minutes away from the villa while Turtle’s natural reserve Ostional is 15 minutes away from the villa. San Juanillo is the paradise for snorkelling and swimming and fishing is 5 minutes away. There is a local bus station within 600 meters as well as 3 restaurants and 2 food markets. No ATM or gasoline station.

The location is nice and it is a large home with lots of space. We rented the entire place for 1 night and the communication was good.

“Great place, and it comes with a magic dog!”
Casa Alice's dog, Rio, was the absolute highlight of our stay. This wonderful animal led us around the town, to the grocery store, the beach (Playa Frijolar), the restaurant, and back to Casa Alice. He was our guardian, protector, and goodest boy. I hope that someone helps him with his eye infection because he ran away from us whenever we tried! The Casa itself was lovely - well situated, huge, full kitchen, pool (note - it says "private" but that's private to the house, not to the room you book). I didn't meet the owners, just Carlos, who gave us the keys.

We enjoyed everything! Igor was an amazing host, although the house belongs to an italian family (Matteo, Adriana and Alice). The house is amazing, close to this beautiful beach. It's the perfect place to chill and catch some waves whenever you want. Everything was clean.

Loved our accommodation — great room and amazing hosts. Lovely clean tidy space, great pool and the hosts are super helpful. The kitchen/living room space works really well — loved meeting the other guests here too. We would definitely stay again Casa Alice is great!

A dreamy vibe in a quiet and spacious location make for the perfect place to destress and relax. A lovely beach, a cool restaurant a a little supermarket are nearby, the sweet housedog Rio is a perfect companion and owner Matteo a wonderful host.

The house is very big, with a big kitchen and there is a nice pool outside. The owners are very friendly and are always ready to help out. A recommendation is to go to the Tiki bar at the beach and watch the sunset, and go for dinner at the restaurant El sueno de ramona. The owners can make a reservation for you. Make sure you bring a good amount of cash, since there is no atm within an hour and most of the places only accept cash :) Thanks a lot we enjoyed our stay very much!

“Lovely and peaceful place to stay”
This place was absolutely lovely. The personnel is really kind and the place so beautiful. The lodge is really close to the beach (Coco beach), actually one of the most beautiful beach that we've seen in Costa Rica, especially if you like to surf. The swimming pool is cool and all the equipment, the room, the space, the garden,... was perfect. Thank you so much for the hospitality and hope to see you soon.

“Great house, great owners, great surf!”
Casa Alice is located in a very quiet place. The house is beautiful and had everything I needed. The owners, adriana and Matteo, are great people, very helpfull. Be sure to try their home made pizza! I loved surfing Marbella. If you come without a vehicle like I did: The location of the house is isolated, which I liked. But the downside is that the nearest minimarket is around a 15 minutes walk away. Same for the beach, also 15 min walk. It is perfectly doable, I did it many times. And the owners being lovely people, gave me rides frequently. As did other guests.

I like it when the owner wasn't in the house. The cleaning and check in lady was very nice and welcoming, also Rio the dog that lives in the house . Then the house is fine , but is not worth the money.
