“Perfect”

We loved it! The owner was helpful and kind, the place is ideal for a two week stay. We wanted to choose a calm, natural beach and this was the best choise ‘cause it’s not saturated by tourists. This two weeks was the best two weeks in our life! Oh, and the doggies always made me smile, they’re super cute.

“Cosy homestay with clean, big rooms and delicious food!”

My stay at Katafygio was fantastic from the first moment; Maria is marvellous and puts a lot of care both in the rooms as well as the restaurant. I stayed for a week and enjoyed every moment of it. I had breakfast and dinner in the restaurant multiple times and adored the home cooked meals. Maria went out of her way multiple times to make something different for my diet, and even surprised me a few times! As for the room, it was quite big and I appreciated the tall shower and very comfortable bed. I’m still dreaming of her feta, zucchini fritters, cakes and homemade jams. If I ever return to Corfu, this will be my first stop!

Maria was a great host and immediately made us feel welcomed. Everything in the room is in good condition, we especially appreciated the quiet A/C, the selection of pillow, the cleanliness of the place and the little spot to sit outside our room and have a morning coffee. The surrounding area is very calm, which suited us well. The food in the restaurant is absolutely delicious and I recommend it. Maria adapted dishes to be vegetarian and I would eat there again, given the chance.

“Very nice”

Nice and cosy room in the real Corfu’s village with all the nature sounds. The sandy beach is 10min walk and all the island is reachable by car. Unfortunately taverna downstairs was closed after the season but there are other really nice places to dine in the village.

“Homey family place”

Can only recommend! I felt really at home. Maria and her family are really beautiful people. They met me by the car at the bus stop and Maria took me to the bus stop when I was leaving. Maria is an amazing cook! Everything is made with heart and so delicious! She makes an amazing home made jam. I was a real fan of it, so Maria gave me a jar of jam as a present. The room is beautiful and comfortable. I felt surrounded with care during all my stay! Thanks so much dear Maria

Staff, food, bed

Super friendly environment, its like family, being part of the village, she speaks several languages, always has solutions and ideas at hand, wifi connection super strong- was able to work remotely without any problems, her cooking was just amazing- out of this world !!! I can't wait to get back for my next holiday♥️

“Corfu vacation”

The place is nice. Room is ok but small, have no kitchenette. The host is ok speaks german and english. The island is wonderful and we prefere to stay more out and enjoy besutiful places, beaches and restaurants.

“Excellent value for money, perfect location”

Katafygio is a small family-owned pension, very well situated about half-way between the village of Marathias and the splendid Marathias beach, which you can reach in 10-15 min on foot. The rooms are small but functional and pretty, and spotlessly clean. The bed is large, the mattress provides very fiorm support. The doors open onto a veranda and they are fitted with mosquito nets, and there is also electric mosquito killer in the rooms. You have a fridge, a few basic pieces of cutlery and dishes, a kettle and tea cups. It is possible to have your morning tea or coffee (provided) on the veranda which has a small table. Maria makes excellent sandwiches, and cooks breakfast as well. She speaks flawless German and English, and is very attentive and caring hostess.

I was pleased with my choice. Excellent combination of price and quality. Maria and her family were very hospitable. Maria is a great cook, so you don't have to look for food anywhere in the village)). The room is clean, with a comfortable bed and air conditioning. The village has a wonderful sandy beach and a constantly warm sea. (the water is colder in the upper part of the island). In general, I liked everything.

We stayed only two days and we wish we could stay more. Real value for money. Really clean and friendly home environment. 8 min walk from the fantastic beach of marathias. Also the food at the tavern of the refuge has amazing home local food. Thank you Maria😉P.s. Your homemade strawberry jam was amazing. Looking forward to come again!!

The host is nice and friendly and cooks very good. We were a group of 6 and the although we came back at 23:00, not only that the restaurant was still open but she offered to make soup just for us at that hour. The breakfast is delicious with plentyfull food and it also has products made by the host, such as fruit marmelade. The property looks just like in the photos, is very cosy. You can walk to the beach around 10-15 min.

The food was amazing, best we’ve had in 10 days in Corfu, including restaurants and hotels. The portions are quite big, so you can easily share. Greek meze on the house. The host also surprised us with a small jar of locally produced honey, on the house. We’ve alse bought home made olive oil, produced by the host. It was a great experience :)
