“Idyllic relaxation in a remote”

Hakuna is an idyllic spot to switch off and relax. Extraordinarily peaceful location with access to use kayaks, paddle boards and bikes (albeit not in very good condition) for free. The food is great and well priced and staff are chilled and welcoming. Comfortable lodgings too. Lovely to go into the local village and see the church too and do a boat trip to the mangrove

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and truly enjoyed every moment. The atmosphere was peaceful, and we felt very well rested and recharged. What stood out to us in particular was the thoughtful gesture of preparing dinner earlier just for us. We truly appreciated this extra effort and certainly don’t take it for granted. Thank you for the excellent service – we would gladly return!

“Nice stay away from the beaten path”

Perfect way to spend some relaxing days and warm evenings in the nature. There are various leisure activities, I can warmly recommend the full day tour with the pirogue to visit the Sine Saloum Delta or an evening run in the suroundings of the hotel.

mUnfortunately, the bicycles were not in working condition, and the sports equipment was also broken. Additionally, the light in our room wasn’t working, which was a bit inconvenient.

“Paradise”

Wonderful place. Lovely beach, comfortable huts, delicious food, friendly staff. Bikes, kayaks and paddleboards are free to use. Kayaking through the mangroves, biking through the villages on the island, having a local beer at the beach, this place is like paradise.

Very nice location in clean nature, perfect swimming and water activities. Rooms simple as in presentation but interesting, especially the outdoor shower.

The place is amazing, in the heart of nature. Everything is spontaneous and relaxed. You have your time and space, and you can choose what you want to do on the island as there are many activities. Take you time. Breakfast and dinner are delicious. The stuff are polite.. Enjoy mornings with bird sounds....

Wonderful food. Kind staff. Beautifully calm. So much exciting nature. Super clean - everywhere, was spotless. Couldn't do more to help and ensure you were having an amazing time. Felt totally looked after. Communication to arrive safely was so helpful. The free use of paddle/canoe/bicycles is so generous.

All was magical

The hotel is quite remote and only to reach by boat but allows for nice walks in the mangroves. Facilities offer many options for activities and to rest.

Everything except the check out and the fact that it was not the price given by booking! We got charged per person... All the staff were loveky.... Very peaceful place

The staff here are incredibly nice and warm and helpful. You get the sense they are all great friends and they really go out of their way to help. The chef is great and the food quality high. The transfer was incredibly smooth. Great music and really nice cocktails.
