We had a really lovely stay at Cardoso Hotel. The staff were friendly and easy-going, and we really enjoyed the pool bar, the restaurant, and the amazing sea view. The location was also perfect and made the stay feel even more special.

“Pathetic...the bathroom body wash smelt like it was off..”
The guest room bathroom amenities and the food were pathetic.I ordered for a chicken sandwich without maionesse and the portion size plus the quality was aweful

“Great views, but . . .”
We wanted to spend a few relaxing days in Maputo. The Hotel Cardoso seemed just the place: a central location, great views, a lovely swimming pool and a nice garden to chill out in.

The room was amazing with all the necessary amenities. We enjoyed the views from our balcony. Oh and they gave us an upgrade which was nice.

“Very nice hotel in Maputo; good choice for tourists”
This is a really nice hotel in a good location in Maputo. The room was very clean with a nice view from my balcony. Housekeeping provided 4x bottles of water each day which I appreciated very much. The pool is very nice and not too shallow. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. The food in the restaurant for lunch/dinner was also good, albeit quite expensive. A special mention to Aldonio from the restaurant who made me feel very welcome.

“Great stay in Maputo”
Spacious and clean room, with all the comforts: tv with international channels, coffee and tea, air conditioning, WiFi, sofa. Comfortable bathroom with spacious shower and bath tub. Great breakfast, well-trained and polite staff, great leisure services such as swimming pool and gym.

The almost historical building is lovely, the pool, the amazing view. My parents had their honeymoon here decades ago and came back and the staff gave them a very warm welcome.

This is one of the beautiful an authentic old hotels of Maputo. Depends what you like, but for us was much nicer than the standard fit shiny soleless venues available at the top end of the market. Staff are friendly and reliable. Breakfast includes everything you need. Facilities are well maintained.
