“Beautiful stay”

The property is a lovely tree house like building and from our very spacious room you could see right into the forest. The owner, Will, is super nice and offered to take us by car to the town of Manzanillo or other places where we had tours booked, because the house is a little out of the city (20 minute walk on the street or along the beach). Communication with him was very easy.

Nothing; abandoned property, 0 security, toilet outside room with no shelter over it, wall papers between rooms, Swiss cheese inside room with holes to outside, noises from neighbor room (funny nobody was there so probably was the “strange concierge”). Avoid it!

There was a basic kitchen. You sensed this has been a passion project, but it seemed that it was no longer being invested in.

“In the middle of nature”

Beautifull location to sleep. Waking up with animalsounds. The walk to the beach is about 10min. The soft beds sleep well. Amazing kind owner who speaks very good english. The house needs some work, so if you don't mind that your room is basic but functional, you'll have a great stay.

The people who have the place are super nice! It is literally inside the jungle. Short walk to the beach. Just next to the bus stop.

The owner was super nice and super helpful - we arrived around 8pm, he offered to give us a free lift to the town to get dinner and pick us up. The room was nice, and very clean even though it was a jungle lodge themed place. We were given towels for our stay. It was close to Manzanillo walking distance and fairly accessible from Puerto Viejo main town.

Great jungle setting. Will was very helpful, speaks English. Take shortcut to beach and follow beach into town, a beautiful walk. Bus stop is right across the street.

it is a beautiful spot near Manzanillo national park. you feel very immersed in nature, hearing howler monkeys as you fall asleep (more peaceful than you may think). the staff are super friendly and the beds were extremely comfortable

Very kind host. Amazing garden, you can see many animals if you are lucky and if you look carefully. Nice safe parking, nice location.

When I first got here I was a bit skeptical, but the longer I stayed the more I enjoyed it. The owners were away to begin with, but we meet them on our last day and they are lovely. The location a little bit out, but they have bikes you can use which was fantastic. So glad we stayed here rather than Puerto Veijo.

“Good to stay if you are fine with basic!”

The location is great! And super friendly! I would say: this could be a perfect place if it would be taken care of a little bit more! It was not dirty, but also not really clean… it would need a little investment to make it better! On the other hand: that might be European expectations… as overall we enjoyed our stay! As said: perfect location and the studio gave us the freedom to cook! Open bathroom… what should we ask for more?
