The staff were very rude and abrupt. We asked for our laundry to be done and they refused to do it, saying they were too busy. The guy on the counter audibly sighed many times at us. The woman who checked us in was also very unhelpful. The room itself is outdated and not worth the price paid. The ‘car parking’ is in an underground conference hall, which makes it very difficult to get the car in and out as it is not a proper car park. The spaces between the cars are very tight and liable to accidents. The car park is also not properly ventilated and smells of fumes. Would not recommend.

We had a fantastic time at this hotel. We had an amazing suite which was unbelievable. The pictures do not do it justice.

Our family of 3 enjoyed our stay at Villas Lirio for 3 nights. The team at the hotel was very kind and pleasant. Our rooms were clean and well equipped. Only thing missing was access to a microwave. Room service kept our rooms clean after our messy and sandy beach days. The hotel gave us a couple of towels for our beach use which was very convenient. The pool was amazing and the water was a great temperature for our daily hang outs and swims. The free included breakfast was a good and fulsome spread of continental and traditional Costa Rican food. If driving to the hotel, the entrance is narrow and has a steep ramp to the indoor secure parking garage. The location was amazing and so conveniently close to plenty of great restaurants and a few minutes away from Manuel Antonio National Park. The hotel seems popular and bustling with many guests and tour groups. Would definitely recommend for a stay in Manuel Antonio.

Nice very big room. Nice swimming pool in the middle of very nice garden with lots of plants and flowers. Very good prices during happy hours. Nearby there are super beaches to enjoy.

Happy with room 105 - lovely ground block terrace with comfortable seating on one side and the small swimming pool with private ground terrace on the other side. This was perfect for us. A little road noise but didn't bother us. Barking dogs late afternoon were a bit annoying. Good location for all the local restaurants - we didn't see anyone using the hotel restaurant for lunch or dinner during the whole week we stayed there! Happy hour form 5pm to 7pm - only a few guests took advantage of it. The hotel seems to be a service hotel for short staying vistitors on various package holiday tours in Costa Rica. For this reason, the restaurant was packed at opening time for breakfast at 7pm for guests to be in time for the start their tours. Overall - enjoyable stay.

The breakfast was a buffet and the food was good. The pool is nice and big. The locations is great to travel around and close to the Manuel Antonio National Parc.

There was a swimming pool surrounded by trees right in front of our room. The room was very spacious, very comfortable with both ceiling fan and AC. The common areas are beautiful with pretty gardens. The breakfast was good, but it lacked desserts and variety in fruits

Great location, rooms were a good size and the pool areas were great. The hotel has a lot of potential.

Lovely room, and great pool area (complete with howler Monkeys in the trees at one point!). Staff were also really friendly, and the breakfast was good. Get there at 7am so it's fresh as it's a buffet style that stays out. Would definitely return!

Here is the review you were looking for: Overall, my partner and I were very happy with this hotel. We absolutely loved the little jungle gardena within the hotel area! But beware yourself, there are stairs to climb, which wasn't an issue for us, but maybe for someone with less mobility could be a problem. The pool was just the right size, altough it was a bit deep, 170 cm, which i think it's a bit dangerous as there is no lifeguard on duty. The food was nice in the restaurant and reasonable priced. Our room was nice and spacious, there was an aircon as well built in, which was very needed as the weather (as you would expect in Costa Rica) was hot and humid. The room didn't have much sunlight, to be fair it was quite dark but we personally didn't mind as we didn't spend much time in the room. To get to the Beach, all you need to do is to take the bus, which is 380 colones (around £0.5) and it takes about 6-8 mins to get there. The bus comes and goes in roughly every 15-20 mins. You can get towels from reception to take to the Beach but if you lose them they cost about $20. There are souvenir shops and restaurants in the area, too. Overall, I would recommend this place.
