“Very pleasant hotel with nice people”

Plaza Yara was a pleasant surprise for me. I didn't know what to expect. I know the pictures showed the jungle RIGHT THERE but I didn't believe it could actually be that way but it was. You could swim to the edge of the jungle. We saw and heard so many animals while there! Aras fly above the hotel every morning. People could hear howlers multiple mornings. I got to see a could of Agoutis in the morning. It truly pays off to get up at 5 or 5:30 am to go sit by the pool or the STUNNING courtyard with couches that you can watch the jungle from. The staff were super nice. All the receptionists very helpful, the breakfast staff were so personable and friendly, and there was a security guard watching over the property all night that made us feel super safe. There were also the unpaid staff - adorable reception dogs that did the best job greeting guests and a lovely hotel cat that had us wrapped around her little paw. We got super lucky and got put in the largest room they had, so we can't really say how the regular rooms are, but the room for 4 people was great! So much space for all our things, a small kitchenette a spacious bathroom and direct access to the pool deck. We loved the positioning of the A/C, it as far enough from the beds that we could keep it on all night and not have it blowing on us. We were pleasantly surprised by the lack of bugs. There's plenty of parking in front of the hotel. Breakfast was really good. Portions more than large enough and very tasty. As I mentioned, the staff were really nice. We also really liked the other guests. Very friendly. It's a great place to stay if you want to explore Manuel Antonio, Uvita, Nauyaca... If you go to Manuel Antonio I highly recommend George the guide 10/10 service. I would recommend going to Quepos to eat. We loved L'Angolo. It's weird to eat italian food in CR but it was delicious! We also enjoyed Soda Sanchez, it's a bit touristy but the food was good.

Breakfast was excellent. Shower was superb and bed comfy.

Very nice room in a quiet location. Nice breakfast. Easy to catch the bus to either go to Quepos or out to Manuel Antonio, bus stop was about 100m away. Less than a US dollar (370 colons) per trip.

Great hotel and such fantastic staff. It has a good atmosphere. Particularly enjoyed the views of birds and animals from our balcony at dawn and dusk. Large, clean room. The location is between Manuel Antonio and Quepos, which was ideal as regular public bus goes between the two. We did walk along the road to a restaurant outside Manuel Antonio one evening,, but wouldn't advise it. Thank you.

“A fabulous hotel in the heart of nature”

A beautiful hotel that’s close to Manuel Antonio and in the heart of nature. We got upgraded and our room was enormous with its own balcony. From there, we could sit and watch a family of howler monkeys. We also saw scarlet macaws and a toucan in the hotel grounds. The pool setting was gorgeous, with plenty of sun loungers. And the staff were very friendly and helpful - they booked a couple of trips for us. Highly recommend.

Great hotel! Big a comfortable room. Pool just in front of the vegetation! Able to see some wildlife from there! Recommend!

“Excellent location”

This is our second time staying here and it is amazing. From our balcony we saw toucan red macaw and there was a group of howler monkeys that we heard on first day but on our second day they were so close to us. The room and bathroom were excellent. Nelson was so helpful when I had a problem contacting our next hotel. The location to the national park is good.

Huge room, very comfortable, close to the nature. Young monkeys played around us, they were very cute.

The bathroom ; the view of the jungle and the breakfast . The staff also very friendly and attentive. At the end they were wonderful and very professional. They solved everything with a nice way .

Very warm reception. Dog Yara brings a special vibe. The room was amazing. Spatious, clean, great shower. The patio was large and had a great view. Great pools, nice a la carte breakfast.

“A Boutique Stay Surrounded by Nature”

I absolutely loved my stay at Plaza Yara. It truly feels like a boutique hotel: medium-sized, modern, colorful, with cold tile floors and vibrant mosaic walls—perfectly suited to a tropical beach destination. The rooms are spacious, and I stayed in one with a balcony overlooking the forest, which was wonderful. In the inner courtyard, there are lounge beds where you can relax, observe the forest, and watch the wildlife that appears—I even saw a white-faced monkey. The same relaxing atmosphere extends to the pool area. All the staff members are kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The hotel also works with excellent partners, including very good restaurants and reliable tour agencies, which makes planning activities easy.

Beautiful accommodation, clean, comfortable, with every amenity you could require. Very friendly staff. Excellent breakfast.

The location was great as we used it for a base to see Manual Antonio, and Uvita. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We saw so much wildlife in the gardens of the hotel and by the pool, more so than we saw in Manual Antonio national park, it was amazing. Rooms were big, comfortable, clean and well equipped. Breakfast options were good. Would definitely stay here again.

“Fantastic stay”

Fantastic staff who were really helpful. The room was huge, and extremely comfortable. Very nice pool area where we saw Macaws, Toucans, and a Sloth. Breakfast was delicious, there was plenty of choice. Plenty of parking.
