“Disappointing.”

It has a cute garden and is near the small shops and restaurants. There is a lovely beach near by. But if you are willing and able there is a gorgeous beach a hours walk away. The bed was comfortable.

The accommodation in the cottage in the garden was romantic, but it was enough for one night. Mosquito nets are available, but unfortunately, rats fell from the ceiling on me and they pooped and splashed my face, even though they provided them. Maybe it was an accident. However, the garden does not deserve care. It is all overgrown and no one takes care of it. But if you have nothing to do with it, don't forget it. The kitchen is not equipped at all, you won't cook

Nice place in Saona

Really nice spot to explore the island closer to the nature! The breakfast at the beach is very nice and in the evening you can go to the close restaurant and enjoy the local relaxing atmosphere.

We absolutely loved our stay! We had the best reception we could ever ask for from Fabricio, he was much more than just a host. He did everything to make our experience unforgettable, including preparing a beautiful birthday dinner for my fiancé and giving us all the best tips to explore this paradise.

The host is a wonderful person, the flavor of italian pasta is great and good breakfast.Excellent.

“Perfect choice”

Everything, the place was super cute and cozy, the hut we stayed was very tidy and well thought. But by far the highlight was the owner Fabrizzio since the begging he picked up us and helped with anything he could plus he is an excel cocker, you need to try his pastas are a piece of Italy in Dominicana. We will for sure repeat if we come back

“Amazing place and staff, near to beach and peaceful”

All was great and clean. The staff and Jose were very helpful all the time. The place is only 2 minutes away from the beach, you also have chance to rent a bike if you want to go faster to El Toro beach or el Encanto. Mano Juan and the house is a must! Thank for the Estofado, José! It was delicious!

I liked being surrounded by nature, i got a good vibe staying there. It is the right value for the money. It's really authentic and the host was very friendly! They let us leave our luggage long before check in

“Great place!”

The location is great, just 5 minutes walking from the pier and 1 minute to the main walkway where you chose between left and right. Both hikes end at fabulous beaches! 2 minutes away there is a restaurant where you get discounts because you stay in Saona Lodge (the both owner are friends). The food there is good. Breakfast was good too, although sometimes they run out of bread on the whole islands, so they have to wait for the next shipping. The owner is superfriendly and helps a lot, always there if you need anything. Eays communication before arrival via WhatsApp. The house has a nice and relaxing vibe, there are some huts with beds and so in the garden. Unfortunately others told us that you can't relax there because of the mosquitos. But we were all day out on the beaches anyway... Our room was inside the house, with a comfy bed, aircon and a private outdoor jungle style bathroom...very cool. Everything was clean, there were enough plugs to charge and the WiFi worked good, although I used my mobile data most of the time as it was a bit faster. I can totally recommend this place.

The place is beautiful! Super natural, in front of the beach, very green. The people are amazing! Many thanks to Moises, Gabriella, Jose and Fabrizio for treating us so well, we had so much fun and the best time! We will be back!

“Disgusting place!!!! Regret we went there! That place should not be on booking AT ALL.”

Nothing! Please Don’t stay there!!!!! Constant prop with water, as a result- no shower and disgusting toilets (because no water to flash the toilet). Not sure the bedding was fresh and washed, towels were stained. And everywhere was mud. Strong smell of poop, especially when we were in our bed. Disgusting place!!!!!

Incredible location on the Saona island. In October we were the only one in this lodge.

“Enjoyable and fun experience at an ecolodge”

I liked the location, just steps away from the beach. The beach itself is incredible and the sea is turquoise. It was a great experience to sleep in an ecolodge, complete with gorgeous huts that felt authentic to the location. The lady working at the property (host) was really friendly and welcoming. There are really lovely restaurants and bars a stone’s throw away from the property, a place to visit would definitely be the Flamingo bar.
