The room was very clean, spacious, with a very large bathroom and the bed was very big. Travelling with a five year old, it was amazing to see our room having the sofa bed already converted. Simple touches like free fruit and water for arriving guests are nice gestures that makes you feel welcome and being a valuable customer.

All went well but I believe there should always be complimentary water in the room and breakfast could have had a bit more choices.

Perfect location to visit the planetarium and Luisenpark. Beautiful rooms, minibar, kettle for tea and coffee. Bathroom tip-top, clean and beautifully decorated. The rain shower was wonderful. Supper in the bar lounge was delicious, fresh and well-presented. The ambience and excellent service made for an enjoyable evening. Breakfast is exquisite. So much attention to detail. Fresh and plenty of variety. Staff are very friendly and helpful. All food is carefully labelled with all allergens, which I appreciated as my daughter has a nut allergy. Will definitely visit again.

Dinner was not in the restaurant, but in the bar. The restaurant was for dinners closed, we all had to eat in the bar and cocktail tables hunched down. That was not comfortable at all.

My ususal place to stay when in Mannheim, but the service level is not anymore what it used to be. The doorbell and intercom from the parking is not working and I had to call the reception by telephone. The next day, the oposite door could not opened with roomkeys and after knocking on the door it was opened, after 2 times asking through the glass door, by an aggrieved employee pointing me to the other (the day before defect) door. On Sunday, the bar would be open at 5pm - it opened however at 6 pm. The next Monday evening we came with a party of 12 persons around 11pm from outside - they couldn't tap us a beer as the bar was closing. Up to my room, which was not cleaned and towels were not changed. The receptionist informed me this is standard policy nowadays and the guests have to ask for cleaning. Nobody told me when I arrived but she made me look like a stupid as it was everywere written. While in the waiting cue for checking out, one other guest complained as well for not cleaning his room - it is obviously the guest his own fault. The NH was always more than a room but things are changing, not for the good.
