“Perfect Mandello Hotel”

Perfect small Hotel. Great location. Lovely staff. Good breakfast. Owned by a Guzzi family. My 1955 Falcone Sport was made very welcome

“We had a fantastic stay and would recommend Mamma Ciccia without hesitation.”

Our room was located on the ground floor in a lovely piazza with a view of Lake Como as soon as you stepped outside. The reception, breakfast room and the Mamma Ciccia Bistro were all within a stone’s throw of the room as was the centre of the town with a small beach, park, restaurants and the ferry pier. The room was spacious, bright and comfortable. The reception staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about the local area.

Calm area, close to the harbor, close to the lake, close to the train station. Staff was lovely and caring. Breakfast was best thing. Room was clean and bed was comfortable.We will come again.

A truly fairytale-like hotel in the quiet town of Mandello del Lario, right in the center and just steps from the lake. Beautifully decorated with blooming wisteria, with many authentic details. After visiting Varenna and Bellagio, I really appreciated how peaceful it is here. Very few tourists, incredibly quiet, and a feeling of being completely disconnected from the crowds. I also felt completely safe, even walking alone in the evening. The location is perfect — there’s a direct ferry to Bellagio, and it’s not just uncrowded, it’s often completely empty, mostly used by locals. The train station is nearby as well, and it’s just 10 minutes to Varenna. Fresh flowers throughout the hotel (even real tulips), excellent breakfast with great coffee and delicious eggs. Rooms are spotless, cleaned to a very high standard. The staff are kind and welcoming, and you feel very comfortable staying here. A big plus for solo travelers — they offer single rooms, which makes the stay much more affordable. I was able to stay 4 nights by the lake instead of just 1–2. The room was more than enough for one person: spacious bathroom, fridge, kettle, plenty of storage — everything new and well-designed. Overall, a perfect mix of location, atmosphere, comfort, and value. Would definitely stay again. Thank you!

“2 steps from lake marvellous food and such nice rooms”

Such a nice hotel!! So clean and quiet. We are a family and we really appreciated the beautiful family room Rosa (2 rooms connected) at second floor. Very clean and spacious with nice deco. The breakfast was perfect and the dinner delicious! Plus a garage for bikes. We would definitely recommand!

“An absolute gem. SSH don’t tell too many people”

Such a wonderful welcome. Boutique quiet, welcoming and comfortable. This boutique accommodation converted an old convent into fresh bright very comfortable and quiet accommodation. Walking distance, 400m, from the station and around the corner from the lake, a fabulous local bakery and friendly local drinking venue near the gardens.

It's a very cute place and there is an outdoor courtyard, with a complete breakfast and a delicious restaurant. The staff is great and gives a lot of information. The room is cozy, however a bit cold (they can't turn on the heat until mid October). The location is perfect cause it's a walkable distance both from the train station, and to the view spots of Como lake. Recommanded !
