Beautiful scenery, super cosy tent, bbq was so convenient and fun for dinner! The shared bathrooms are very clean and well stocked!

Our glamping tent was situated at the top of the property…beautiful views! Tent was clean, spacious, warm. We opted for the dinner & breakfast to be included, which made our visit extra special. The staff brought all of our food up to our tent, then we cooked it on our BBQ! So much food…skewers of venison, lamb, veggies. Fish baked in foil, salads, bread, dips…beautiful. Breakfast the next morning was just as good-delicious. So glad we decided to stay here, our family loved it…a unique experience. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, very friendly and helpful.

I was in Japan for the first time as a solo traveller and had such a lovely stay at Couscous. The glamping set-up is first class, the food is delicious, the location is beautiful and it’s a great way to visit the surrounding area (Hakone, Fugi 5 lakes etc), especially if you have a car. A special mention for Takeshi, Arisa, Shigeki & Stephane (the Couscous team) who were brilliant and helped me with everything from restaurant and site seeing recommendations, to ensuring I was very comfortable at Couscous. Arigatou gozaimashita! Mata Aimasho.

“Comfortable, delicious and peaceful.”

This is the second time I’ve been here this year. After I loved it here so much in April I came back with my wife. We had an absolute ball and my wife who is as total foodie loved the breakfast and dinners. They’re a bit pricey but totally worth it. Some of the best food we had on our trip. The hospitality is absolutely top notch and I hope to come back again.

We had an absolutely perfect stay over the weekend here! It's a lovely, cozy little place with a few tents, great facilities, and lovely staff. The tents were super comfortable with large cozy beds and a space heater for the cold night, and the dinner, including our extra purchases of apple pie and a bottle of wine, were carefully selected and prepared, delicious and good value for money. One of the best little getaways we've had in a while, and we'd love to come back 🙂

We stayed 3 nights at the glamping and had a wonderful time! The staff is so kind and helpful. The tents are very big with comfortable beds and everything in it and on the veranda to make your stay a great experience. The shared restrooms are very clean and comfortable too. And last but not least, the menu gives you sufficient choice for a lovely diner on the veranda at night with a nice glas of wine. We highly recommend the Couscous glamping and thank the staff for the wonderful experience they gave us!

“An absolute hidden gem you shouldn’t miss.”

The facility is absolutely top notch. The tents are sturdy, well equipped and warm. You’ll get a bit of a surprise how well decked out they are when you’re shown to your spot for the night. I highly recommend getting the dinner and the breakfast. It might seem a little pricey but it is absolutely well worth it. The Horse Mackerel was absolutely delicious and the various meats were extremely high quality. It was 100% value for money as I was stuffed by the end of it. The breakfast is also delicious as well. The hosts are extremely accommodating and even drove me to the train station after I asked them to call me a taxi. They also speak English which is handy if you can’t speak Japanese. Absolutely recommend this place and I will be coming back with my wife hopefully in the near future. The little town the property is in is also amazing and definitely worth checking out.

Very unique experience and I felt like every need was taken care of. Very new facilities so everything was fresh and clean and nicely done. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The views were beautiful from our tent in the tree tops and our children had a wonderful time!
