The location was amazing, and the history and layout of the building fascinating and very historic. The breakfast was superb. Every view was a photograph, and the terrace spectacular.

This is a great hotel with superbly friendly staff, beautiful rooms, delicious breakfast and a superb location. They were extremely kind and flexible with my complicated bookings, helped me book other things, and kept my luggage for me for a long time! A home from home just next to the opera.

This is a unique place, so special in its aura and it is a great stroke of luck that I ended up there. The common areas are all special, there is a lot to discover. It can't be quiet because it's central in the middle of the city, the people are friendly, it's clean, the breakfast is lovely and plentiful, everything is beautiful I was happy to be there

The hotel is located next door to a church and across the street from the Teatro Amazonas. An historic building, there are nooks and crannies galore throughout the hotel to relax, read, and just enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of wine. However, this is not an ultra-modern hotel, so you won't find things like a coffee-maker/hair dryer in your room. Highly recommend checking out the roof-top terrace for some great views. If travelling during the Brazilian summer, be aware air conditioning is only to be found in the bedrooms. Staff were excellent, but their English was somewhat limited. Continental breakfast was very good. There were a number of restaurants in easy walking distance from the hotel and an unexpectedly large number of places to buy ice cream / gelato. Grocery stores are a bit of hike, but doable. Taxis can be found right out front and it is about a 10 minute drive to the cruise port. Overall, a great hotel with a superb location.

Really lovely, friendly, helpful staff. All tried hard to make our stay pleasant. Fantastic, generous breakfast. Excellent location right on Sao Sebastian Square next to the Amazoas theatre and with lots of good restaurants and bars a mere stumble away. Lovely view from the hotel roof terrace.

Wonderful setting. Good spirit and energy in this place. Connecting the feeling of the old monastery with colonialism and travel spirit. A mix of religious pieces, indigenous artefacts and other objects add to the rich and full ambiente.

The hotel is very well located, right in front of the Theatre. It has a great rooftop and many cool decorations and common space inside. The reception was friendly and breakfast was pretty good too.

Wow, what a find; incredible located hotel with great restaurants and bars right next door (literally). Everything you need for an extended stay in Manaus on the doorstep and everyone is really friendly in a very safe environment. There were lots of festivals on in the Teatro square whilst I was there which was an added bonus, and a whole load of alternative entertainment within a 10 minute walk in any direction. I couldn't believe how empty this hotel was for being so close to the downtown area and Teatro Amazonas, something for everyone. Major bonus is the rooftop terrace, which is huge and seldom used by anybody!
