Casa Valeria is a beautiful villa and in a lovely location in the Tuscan hills. The house is immaculate with nicely tended garden spaces, good facilities, and a wonderful private pool that is both spacious and deep. Nearby villages offer great options for supermarket and eating - we found the location offered a nice balance between quiet, rural life and the option of day trips to Florence, Pistoia and Lucca, which are all easily achievable.

“Wonderful place in the mountains”

We had a wonderful stay here and would definitely come back again. It’s a beautiful house with an astonishing view. It has everything you need (including a nice pool, the kids loved it). It’s a 40 min drive on winding roads to get there, but it’s well worth the journey. I would definitely recommend this house for a stop if you’re travelling in Tuscany/Liguria. There’s a nice little village (san marcello) 5 min away that has some restaurants, a great ice cream place and a supermarket.

“A peaceful retreat”

We loved the pool, it was nice and deep. A controller for the pool cover for overnight would allow the heat to be retained and make it warmer. The kitchen was extremely well equipped, the best we've ever had.The beds were super comfy. The bathrooms were well appointed and little touches like hand soap, loo rolls and spices meant arriving late was fine. The TV allowed us to access Netflix etc which meant a movie night was an option. The nearby village (5 mins drive) San Marcello Pistoise is excellent, it's got a good value Coop and lovely coffee shops etc. I personally loved the scenery from the lush green tiered garden. My husband enjoyed the outside grill, we now have to get one for our home! There is no ac but we didn't need it, it is so cool inside the thick walls and the shutters keep the inside cool. Check it out on Google maps to see what's nearby. The plastic factory was not too intrusive. We loved going for a pre dinner walk to the suspension bridge and then down to the bar by the pond below it where very friendly staff went out of the way to make us feel welcome. The owner was very responsive and I felt completely welcome.

The property was spacious, very clean and tastefully furnished and also well equipped and maintained. The grounds were relaxing with a modern swimming pool and beautiful views. It was great for walks, the Ponte Sospeso is a must see. The villa was generally a good place to drive from (if you don’t mind driving windy mountain roads) to Lucca or Pistoia, which have excellent train connections e.g. to Pisa, Florence, La Spezia. There is a lovely town nearby San Marcello (5 minutes drive) with restaurants and shops. Patrizia, the host was very welcoming and helpful from the first email to the final Goodbye message.

This is an amazing modern house, equipped with everything you could need for a vacation and at such a great price. The house was lovely and warm which is great after a day on the slopes. The host was fantastic and very welcoming, would highly recommend to anyone staying within the area.

“Highly recommended location!!!”

We stayed at the villa in the company of 6 adults and one little baby for 2 nights. The villa is very clean and cozy (especially the outside terrace with a beautiful view and sound of mountain river). The owners were very helpful and friendly🙏. We were pleasantly surprised with the overfull staffing of kitchen accessories. Additionally we would like to thank the owners for delicious cake and Prosecco)))
