DISTRESSING & UNACCEPTABLE EXPERIENCE. We used the laundry service and one of my dresses was badly bleached and completely ruined (£49). It was clear the staff member, Fadhili, was aware. He folded the clothes in a way that hid the damage, and when asked, acted nonchalant and left for the day.In hindsight, his earlier offer of free cake (despite being particularly unfriendly during our stay) felt suspicious, almost as if it was an attempt to make up for the damage without telling us. We reported it to the owner, Daniela, who was dismissive and stated the staff "hardly lie" and seemed to trust staff over clear photo evidence we provided. Although she agreed to compensate us, which was also confirmed via texts, two weeks later we are still chasing the refund and only receiving excuses and at one point she even asked my husband about his nationality, which was completely irrelevant and inappropriate in this context.It raises concerns whether guests are treated differently based on nationality, being from a British Caribbean background? The LACK OF HONESTY,ACCOUNTABILITY AND FOLLOW THROUGH HAS BEEN VERY FRUSTRATING. THIS EXPERIENCE MEANS I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE.

“It was worthwhile”

I liked that the house is not far from the airport, was very clean and quiet and the staff were very friendly. Most especially Faadhil. He made our stay very memorable.

The room was big, clean and very nice. Also the pool was amazing. The staff kindly brought a birthday cake with a candle to my room, which was a lovely and thoughtful gesture.

The hospitality was amazing. Fadhili was exceptionally good. Abdalla the tuktuk driver was really a lifesaver for me in terms of movement and he was extremely professional and kind. As a solo traveller I would definitely go back

The breakfast was really nice, with different options. Though they should consider adding coconut Mbaazi, we ordered this, which completed the option of Cassava, Sweet potatoes option.

Very intimist guest hiuse, only 4 rooms, quiet, very nice architecture and minimalist decoration. Staff is really nice and dedicated to their job. Good vibes. Breakfast us delicious. Fully recommended if you want a peaceful place far away frim noisy italian crowd

If Malindi, then there is no other place than Bamboo House. We had a quick call with the owner Daniela, who helped us a lot and navigate with Jamila, the manager . Grace welcomed us and Tahid ( hope the name is written correct) did an amazing job with preparing the breakfast. The interior is amazing / the love to every detail. Once you enter the location you are in an complete different environment and can relax. So for travellers who love more privacy this is the most place to book.

Daniella and her staff, were very friendly, they allowed an ealry check in time and always guided us on how to ensure we enjoyed the trip in malindi in a fun and safe way

The room was very clean and bed was comfortable. The kitchen staff were amazing- excellent breakfast (with real coffee) and they cared very much about providing high quality service. The outdoor area was very pleasant for chilling. They provided filtered drinking water which is appreciated. There are a few restaurants along the beach which are about 20 minutes walk. Easy to get boda boda on the main road to get to town.

Beautiful house, Cosy and refreshing stay The location is not too far from restaurants around. Would recommend the Swahili breakfast!! Amazing breakfast! Tried the other breakfast but wasn't something to write. However, the swahili breakfast is a must try!! Very accommodative staff and friendly team.

I was working remotely and the internet was great, the room was comfortable and super cute. Fadhili and Grace made an amazing breakfast every morning and made sure I had everything I needed.
