Overview
Newcastle Studios by Estia is situated in Malia Old Town, a 10-minute walk from the Malia bar strip. All the rooms are self-catering and have balconies. There is a large swimming pool with bar on site. Rooms available are for groups of two or three. Each features a private bathroom and a TV. The beach is about a 25-minute walk (1.5km). Those wishing to just chill by the pool, can relax by the spacious sun terrace. Pool tables and a pool-side snack bar with satellite TV are featured. The modern, well-maintained Newcastle Studios by Estia are the perfect base for exploring the myriad of bars, restaurants and nightclubs lively Malia has to offer.

We stayed for 1 night as a stop over before our flight back to Athens. The pool and area around the pool is excellent. The room was basic, but clean. Remember to bring your own shower gel, dishwashing liquid and pool towels. Unfortunately there were many youth staying at the hotel and they were very loud and noisy until the early morning hours. But unfortunately this is unavoidable in Malia.

the location is at the end of the old city, this makes it perfect to enjoy the calmness of the countryside but at the same time it’s not far at all from the rest of the city. you get to walk and enjoy all the little cute streets of the old city of malia, and in about 25 minutes walking you get on the seaside. i liked that there’s a little kitchen in the room, it allowed us to cook whatever we wanted. the owners are really kind and available. i would go back there next summer.

“Exeptional and Profesional”
This Family run business was just perfect and very well run,Ulaina and George run it and it is like being part of their Family,i felt it was like Home in Crete and would Love to return as soon as i can,i just returned a few weeks ago and i miss being there,love Crete,Ulaina has daughters Maria and Olga who assist in running the Apartments,also other bar staff,Rooms are kept tidy and cleaned Every day buy a young woman whom Nothing is a bother she is very profesional at what she does,look forward to see you guys again,God Bless,Love Alexander McDonald[ Scotland].

Spotlessly clean lovely views from pool, lovely tavernas close by. Great maid service.
