Kambaku River Lodge was pure magic. The views over the river, the wildlife right at our doorstep, and the peaceful atmosphere made our stay unforgettable. The rooms were beautiful, spotless, and so comfortable — every detail felt thoughtful. But what truly stood out was the warmth of the hosts and staff. They went above and beyond in every way, and even surprised us with a special anniversary gift, which meant so much to us. It made the experience feel personal and incredibly memorable.

Simply Wow! Everything was amazing! Food was great, Staff was perfect! We got to see animals everyday during different times coming to drink some water! It was lovely! Lodge was beautiful clean and very comfortable! Absolutely perfect, location is perfect! I honestly have nothing to complain. Only compliments! The place is absolutely incredible and very refreshing!

Firstly, the view from the room was lovely, the view from the premises perfect! It felt like a natural extension to the Kruger park. The room was great with a lots of attention to the details. The breakfast was great, as was the delicious dinners! We just loved everything about this quiet and peaceful hideaway. Lots of privacy, immediate answers to your requests and friendly and efficient staff.

Location was very good, about 12 miles from one of the main gates into Kruger National Park (easy to self drive from here and roads - in the park- suitable and easy for saloon car....lots to see, elephants and giraffes near entrance ) At Kambaku Lodge a beautiful meal was served to us every night on the terrace outside our room with a firepit lit for us each day. Service was excellent.The gardens were big and ran down to the river where we could see the occasional hippo or elephant in the distance. We would definitely recommend.

Food was amazing as usual , we were lucky to see a leopard and elephant across the dam / river infront of the lodge on arrival , amazing comfortable rooms , Denis was amazing.

Beautifully decorated accommodation in the most beautiful setting. One could not ask for a better way to treat yourself. Staff is friendly, helpful and professional. Room size and privacy is awesome and the room offers more than needed. The food was delicious and the way it was served right in front of our room was extra special, not to mention how lovely the table was set. We enjoyed watching the elephants and hippos right in front of Kambaku River Lodge.

We had an amazing stay at Kambaku. Everything was perfect - Gary and his team's hospitality, the fantastic view, the huge room beautifully decorated, the gorgeous food and the animals you can watch from the garden. It is a little paradise that we thoroughly enjoyed. Be sure we will be back and for longer this time. Thank you for making our stay so special.

Breakfast was a treat every morning—fresh and delicious. The lodge’s amenities are top-notch, blending luxury with nature. The room is comfortable and beautifully designed, offering stunning views of the river and the surrounding mountains. But it’s the staff that truly make Kambuku River Lodge stand out. Their warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care for guests are what elevate this place to another level. We’ll definitely be back for the third visit.

Dear Leanne and team, Thank you so much for the most magical few days at Kambaku. My partner and I have travelled a lot doing many safaris and our time here was second to none. The accommodation was truly a truly stunning and it was so special to have animals in the back yard then just over the fence were most of the big five during our stay as well. The staff were incredible, Dennis and Elvis brought smiles and joy each day then the massages were simply fantastic as well. Also the messaging system to keep upto day was incredible and very helpful. We loved all the food we got and it was amazing to have it all by our own pool as well. Anyone doing safari at Kruger would be lucky to stay here and we can’t wait to return. Thanks, Ollie and Maddie

The whole lodge and it‘s surroundings, how nice the rooms are fitted, the beautiful garden with the view into the Kruger and especially the service and food. We loved every second that we stayed here and will definitely come back!
