“A very handy stop for airport - but nothing like the Atolls”
We enjoyed our 24 hours at this hotel before flying home after visiting the islands. The staff were wonderful and we had a good experience. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I also had the best fillet mignon i have ever had at their rooftop restaurant. worth going just for that.

Facilities were v good but I personally don’t think worth the price. Missed my ferry the next day (to a local island) due to them running late despite me asking to leave earlier. I was dropped off and left to then sort a new plan. A day (and money) lost. No acknowledgment or apology either.

“Relaxing - definitely lives up to the Shangri-La reputation”
Very clear communication from the Get-go - we were staying in Male City for a couple days and headed out to an island in the Maldives. The organising and communication with us in relation to this was very clear and they didn't shy away from helping. We were very pleased with the pick-up/drop-off service from Shangri-La. Shout out to Hassan from the front desk. He was the one delegated to come pick us up from the airport. He explained everything that was going on and organised our check-in. He was super friendly and still came and asked us how we were doing the next day when he caught us coming into the hotel. The food from their restaurant was super yummy - we tried it once with room service and once as a dine-in, both experiences resulted in very tasty food! The infinity pool (rooftop pool basically) was very nice, you could dip in the pool for a swim or just lie on a sun bed next to the pools
