Great location, nice friendly staff and lovely pool

Location. Small hotel and quiet area.

Superb location - close enough to town, but peaceful enough to enjoy some relaxation time. The pool and gardens were a lovely place to enjoy the afternoon after exploring Malcesine. Would highly recommend.

My wife and I stayed at the Catullo as we were getting married in the Castle in Malcesine. The hotel had very spacious, clean rooms and was in a great location, about a 5-8 minute walk to the castle. The staff were incredible, providing Prosecco to my wife and bridesmaids while she was getting ready, allowing photos to be taken within the hotel and overall being helpful with any questions we had. The hotel went above and beyond our expectations and would definitely stay again in the future!

This hotel worked perfectly for me and I felt very good and safe there as a female solo traveler. Staff is super nice, speaks English, German and of course Italian, always kind, happy to help. Location is super convenient, in a quiet part with a beautiful garden but yet close to everything - shops, restaurants, castle, beaches, gelato and Monte Baldo Funivia is right next door. Absolutely loved the pool, very often I had it for myself and it has a good size for swimming. Single room is pretty basic, but has s lot of storage spaces, bed is big and comfy, it was quiet at night and there was a balcony with a view - what more to ask for. Garda card/s for discounts for castle, funivia or boats were provided at rexeption which saved me a couple of euros. Thank you for everything and hope to be back one day.

“Great hotel but breakfast leaves room for improvement”

Hotel is in a brilliant location. Lovely and quiet, but just a short stroll away from the old town with its many bars and restaurants. We loved the pool area and often had it to ourselves. No music blasting out, no kids, no inflatables. A great place to relax in the sun with a good book. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Our room was very quiet and we never heard any noise from guests in other rooms. As a couple, we had a room that slept 3 because it had lots of extra space, which was great for storing our luggage. The bed was comfortable and I slept better than I do at home. Our balcony stood on its own (ie no adjoining balconies) and we had a great view of the mountains.

This hotel is amazing was little hard to find but once you do wow just wow, very clean staff amazing the bar lady was just lovely we stayed for wedding set up iron for us must say perfect stay pool area is beautiful and very quite

We loved our stay at the hotel Catullo. The staff are fantastic, the location is great (next to the town centre but quiet, and a two minute walk to the funivia). Everything is super clean. We loved the pool, the view from the balcony and the breakfast.

“Very clean and friendly hotel”

Our room had a view of the Lake (albeit at a short distance) A nice balcony which caught the afternoon sun. Very clean and uncluttered. Breakfast was good. A choice of breads, cereals, cakes, eggs, cold meats, cheeses, juice, tea & coffee. The staff at Hotel Catullo are very friendly. We did not get a chance to experience the pool and outdoor area due to the weather being wet & cool.

“Fantastic Location!”

We loved the central location of the hotel and how private the pool area was. The rooms are small but clean and the view of the lake from our balcony was stunning.

Having stayed there before we were delighted that all standards remained high. The lovely pool and gymnasium, the room facilities including superb air conditoning. Breakfast on the terrace each morning was excellent and the owners could not have been more friendly and helpful.

The property was basic we stayed for 1 night which was good enough for the length of time we stayed.

“A gorgeous hotel with everything you could want”

We could not have had a better stay in Catullo, the hosts were so attentive, get very friendly and gave us such a warm welcome to Malcesine. The hotel is ideally located only 3 minute walk in to the old town, with a great pool and amazing views over the lake. We could sit on our balcony all day and look at that view! Room was also very clean on arrival and beds were made everyday. Great selection at breakfast in the mornings and if you stay, make sure you say hello to the hotel cat Chicquitita, who lives outside and always was there to greet us hello when we were back from our dinner. One of the best places we have stayed in Italy and would come back in a heartbeat if we had the chance.

“Awesome hotel with awesome stuff!!”

Loved the location and especially the breakfast out on the terrace! The stuff was so nice and made me feel comfortable, especially because they met all your needs! I also enjoyed that the hotel was a little smaller just because the pool was not packed, it was more relaxin, quieter and the stuff was able to focus on ecery guest

when we first walked into this hotel we were welcomed by the hosts and they were such lovely friendly people. we felt so welcome from the start. they’d never pass you by without a quick chat or a good joke with the boss man (never caught his m name). The hotel sits in a perfect location just up the road from the old town. Although it’s close to the old town it’s set in its own peaceful location with a fantastic view of Monte Baldo. Breakfast was plentiful with all you need to start your day. Hotel is spotless throughout and the pool area is a well kept tranquil area just to chill out, there’s also a gym but I personally don’t bother with it on holiday. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to spend time in Malcesine.
