Beautiful location (10 mins walk from the main street), the marine sanctuary was amazing and reception staff were super helpful and friendly! Stayed in one of the ocean facing rooms and sitting out on the balcony was bliss

“Pretty resort”

There are a lot of positives about this place including a beautiful setting. The boat journey was pretty bouncy in both directions but only took about 50 minutes. The rooms are fairly clean - we had a luxury room however the decor and furniture is pretty basic but ok. However, the beds were really hard! So I didn’t sleep that well and it killed my back. We had to ask for extra pillows as only one was provided. The outside balcony seating is not comfy and it would be great to have decent chairs to sit on to relax and enjoy the amazing sunsets. The views from the room were beautiful. Breakfast was ok - pretty average and we were disappointed with the small amount of fruit available as it is always a highlight in Asia as it’s so delicious. The waitress staff at breakfast were friendly but not really on top of things running out so we had to ask a few times. We ate in the restaurant a few nights and food was ok. The views are lovely and it has a romantic evening ambiance. However, we preferred the restaurant next door where pizza was excellent and wood fired. Pasta was also very good. The Tepanee beach restaurant we ate lunch in a few times and was good. Special shout out to the waitress there who was lovely. I forget her name. The guy was a bit grumpy. There are plenty of sun beds but just to note you can’t lie on the beach here or swim in the protected area. This is only for snorkelling. It is great for snorkelling with nice corals and baby reef sharks and lots of fish. The coral is damaged in a lot of areas but they are trying to preserve the area and encourage regrowth which is good. The beaches in the island are pretty but with lots of rubbish which seems to be an issue in the Philippines. The town is small with a few shops but there is rubbish everywhere which is a real shame. I imagine though it is quite difficult to dispose of all the plastics etc on a remote place such as this. Overall a nice stay.

“Idillic location, lovely resort.”

The location is fantastic! The view from our chalet was stunning. The resort was very relaxing and plenty of sun loungers etc. The access to the beach and snorkelling is fantastic. The spa is great and good value for money. The bedroom and en-suite were very clean. We had arranged transfers to and from Cebu airport with the resort and these worked perfectly.

“Comfortable stay”

Bed was comfortable. Balcony with a great view. Good shower. Close enough to the town but just far enough away.

Absolutely perfect. We loved every moment in this hotel. Food is amazing, the private beach with baby sharks is a blast, contacts for diving (MTD) was perfect. The room was confortable, AC was really efficient. Only regret is not having booked a sea view cause it’s beautiful. The staff is helpful and kind.

“The best Malapascua accommodation”

Everything! but most especially that they protect the shark sanctuary where the resort is situated in. You can see the baby black-tip sharks just by snorkeling from their access to the beach. The rooms were clean, staff very helpful. Breakfast superb! They also have the best view of the sunset from their sunbeds.

This is the pearl among Malapasqua's hotels. Breakfast was quite good, cooking in cafe on the beach fast and delicious, as well as hotel restaurant for dinner. Hotel has two beaches, and if windy on one you can snorkel on another. We liked possibility for snorkeling with baby sharks, it is amazing! Staff is helpful in any questions.

“Amazing”

Great staff really friendly and helpful all the time, met the owner who was lovely and gave great advice. The huts themselves are beautiful, we had one overlooking the sea and the views were spectacular. The shark sanctuary is really really good - we saw so many of the reef tip sharks a stones throw away from the private beach. Sunsets on private beach were ace and as they were largely for hotel residents it meant the atmosphere was nice and chill.

We loved our stay here. Great location, 5mins walk from the pier and beach strip with restaurants. Staff was lovely and very helpful, helped us book diving, laundry, scooter rental and taxi to Moalboal. Would highly recommend!

“No 1 pick for Malapascua”

We loved this place!! Our bungalow was amazing, the views were unreal!! We came for diving and loved our downtime relaxing on the private beach with great snorkelling at the marine reserve in front of the resort. We arranged our transfers to and from Cebu with Tepanee and it was seamless. My husband left his phone in the car on our return journey and they went over and above for the driver to get it back to us, such great service.

The hotel is located in a quite place, overlooking the ocean and just few minutes walk from the port. The rooms are spacious and with balcony. There is the refrigerator and the safe. The airconditioning works perfectly and it is silent. The staff is very friendly! Great breakfast!

Best place to stay on the island for sure

“A great hotel”

(1) Perfect location: very quiet, on the other side of a hill so sounds from beach bars don't reach the rooms. It's especially apparent when you walk from the room to the beach in the evening: after you cross the summit you start hearing music from beach bars / restaurants, ones you didn't hear close to the room. (2) Quiet air conditioner: not very strong but sufficient for the room. (3) Decent-sized (not a small minibar type) and quiet (!) fridge, we for example bought fruits and stored them in it. (4) Basically nothing disturbs your sleep when in the room (except possibly your partner? ;-). (5) The real hidden gem is hotel's private beach, snorkeling on it you can see plenty of baby reef sharks!!! I saw maybe about 12 at the same time. Pro tip: don't swim too fast or too much, actually move your hands and feet as little as possible, otherwise you'll scare the sharks. Just get to the right place (a bit further out from the shore, near the rope) and wait a bit. Sharks will come. And don't swim in the area to the right of the entrance limited by rope, it's an area reserved only for the sharks. Instead, hold on to the rope so that you don't need to move and don't scare sharks away. (6) Nearby hotel Blanco Beach Resort has a very good restaurant next to the Tepanee's private beach, and this restaurant serves very tasty food and fresh juices. (7) Soft, comfortable beds (memory foam but it's fine). (8) Nice furnuture, room had a work table. (9) Good WiFi. (10) Hotel is built on a hill so you can save up on gym - just walking to / from your bungalow will burn enough calories ;-) (11) Views from this hill and the partner restaurant are breath-taking.
