The room was spacious and lovely, the included breakfast was also delicious! The location was great (restaurants along the beach were a little expensive but just go 1 street back and they’re cheaper). Warm showers (but we think they were brackish/saltwater - not fresh). Room was cleaned daily and they left topped up bottles of water for us everyday which was great.

Amazing location, staff and facilities. Tasty food and wifi was fast!! Rooms are clean and bed very comfortable. Room cleaned everyday also!

A superb location, a 2 minute walk from Thresher Shark Dive shop. Clean rooms. Lovely staff, happy hour and an excellent breakfast service. Good WiFi. Good for local bars and restaurants.

After a 6-night stay at Little Mermaid, I think I’ve stayed long enough to give an in-depth review of this hotel. I’m very satisfied with its location—it’s extremely close to the dive shops and the beach, making it very convenient. I was also impressed by how friendly the staff were, and I was happy to tip them.

“Impossible to get in touch and get help regarding your booking”

They don’t answer messages and I needed help with getting there and some other matters concerning our stay…

The hotel manager was very rude and unhelpful. We told him that we would pay for the food and drinks last and that we would check out early in the morning, but he said someone would be there that morning. The night guard asked about everything we ate and drank before we paid the bill, and we explained everything. However, the guard who helped us in the morning did not understand us and gave us the wrong price. Later, they noticed that 285 pesos was missing and sent us a message about it, threatening to report us to the police. We did not say we couldn't pay. Additionally, they were getting their water from a public source, which made my husbond and me sick; the shower water was also salty. Frankly, we didn't like it at all.

The staff were very nice and friendly. Loved our stay here. The Dive Resort had really good quality hire gear which was included in the cost of dives. The staff made our stay very special. Fantastic area. Good food.

My stay here was overall just extraordinary! I had the same breakfast every morning (But one - early morning dive). I would quite happily eat at the restaurant for the rest of my life. The food was so good and the staff were amazing and friendly after a few days they knew what I was going to eat but checked to make sure that is what I wanted. Areas were kept clean all the time. Staff were Beyond Amazing both at the hotel and the diving staff. I was made to feel welcome from the moment I arrived. I got a transfer from the Airport to Maya port through Little Mermaid, it was simple and very helpful to have. I am glad that I went for the transfer as it allowed me to make the boat over the same day even though my flight was delayed an hour. The drivers were lovely. Also made time to stop to change currency which was very helpful. I was lucky enough to be able to have a couple of different dive guides for the week that I was staying here. Which all of them were brilliant. Communication was top notch as well, from months before in the planning stages to right before arrival also during my stay. This is partly why I chose to go with Little Mermaid. Everything was laid out so I knew exactly what was going on when and where. When I asked a question it was always answered Fully and quickly. During my stay as it wasn't a very busy time there was a lot of flexibility with what dive sites I visited and how many dives a day I did. They were happy to work around what I wanted and how I felt. Rooms were lovely. The room I stayed in was lovely and spacious. Bed was very comfy - Definitely needed after a day full of diving. Showers had lovely pressure. Aircon which was very nice to have. I will most definitely be returning when I can. Hopefully they have the same room available when I go back.
