Overview
Makrinas Traditional Home is located in Makrinitsa, 14 km from the Pelion Ski Centre. Its apartments contain a fireplace and balconies with views of the village of Portaria and the Pagasetic Gulf. All units have a seating area. Each is heated and air conditioned and include a LCD TV and DVD player. They also have a dining area and kitchenette with kitchenware. The use of the fireplace is subject to extra charges, while wood and BBQ facilities are available upon request. 1 min uphill drive is required from Makrinitsa main parking space. Parking space is nearby and requires 30-40meters walking in old traditional stone path plus about 40 steps to reach guesthouse level. Assistance for carrying the luggage to the guest house may be provided for a small fee Makrinas Traditional Home is 14 km from Volos and 38 km from Aghialos Airport. Free public parking is available nearby.

We stayed at To Stefani Tis Makris for a few days in August, and the experience was unforgettable. The place is often called “the balcony of Volos”—and it truly deserves the name. The view over the sea and the surrounding nature is something you don’t just see, you feel. It’s the kind of view that makes you sit down, breathe a little slower, and just take everything in. But what made the experience unforgettable were the hosts. They were incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, in that effortless way that makes you feel less like a guest and more like an old friend returning home. Everything was taken care of with such grace and warmth. You can tell that this place is cared for with love, and perhaps by someone with a certain natural charm that is hard not to notice—though I’ll leave it at that. 😊 If you’re looking for a place to relax, feel inspired, and be treated with true Greek hospitality, this is the one. I can’t wait to return.

“Just wonderful”
The accommodation is so beautiful with beautiful furniture and amenities like a coffee machine. It has a view to die for. It is clean and comfortable. Good linen on the beds. They even provided so sweets and crackers and ouzo for us. The town is very charming and a wonderful place to relax. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. They provide loads of information on restaurans, coffeeshops, laundry, places to visit.

“DONT MISS IT!”
The apartment was amazing! We will keep booking this property every time we visit from now on! There was an amazing view, an incredibly modern interior design, the mattresses and the beds felt like a 5star hotel, the kitchen was fully equipped, the living room had very high standard of furniture. It felt like a very comfortable, warm and with high quality property. The host really takes care of the place and the visitors. For example, we did not have matches for the fireplace and the host brought us matches immediately! He also suggested great places for food coffee and things to do. THE BEST PLACE IN MAKRINITSA! DONT MISS IT!

Incredible house. Very clean and everyone very friendly even Makrina herself. Highly recommended for a family. Our children had a perfect time. Makrinitsa and near village Portaria had everything someone needs for his vacations. We came from Patras and hope to come back again maybe next year. Thanx for everything.

The host was very helpful and shared some "must see" places for us to check out in the area! The house has nice design furniture, a nice big fire place and loads of fire wood available for us, breathtaking views and the comfiest beds ever!!!
