Close to the centre of Makarska and located at a pebbly beach, the charming family-run Hotel Maritimo is close to a sports marina, boasting magnificent views of the Brač and Hvar Islands. Only a promenade shaded by pine trees stands between the sea and the hotel, which provides comfortable and fashionably appointed accommodation. Lovely welcoming staff, amazing breakfast, and the restaurant was super for dinners. Right beside the beach also, and in a quiet loaction. Carp park very convenient also. Couldn't be happier with my stay.

“Excellent Hotel.”
The hotel is beachfront in a vibrant area. Staff were all exceptional, customer focused and friendly Room was large and spacious, bed was super comfortable, linen and pillows perfect. Bathroom also large, good pressure in the shower with consistent hot water. The room was refurbished and modern. Food in the restaurant was pretty good and the breakfast was fantastic.

“Lovely small hotel shame they was no English tv during our stay”
I don't appreciate because asked for a tip for the receptionist I felt embarrassed that they would even ask and why would we , understandable that we give tips to the waiters and cleaners but for receptionist who sign you in they don't show you to your room or carry your bags I was very surprised they asked quite rude, made me feel quite uncomfortable

Location was awesome! You are staying literally few meters from the sea. The staff was great, they even gave us some medicines and breakfast had really many options. Big reccomedation

Excellent location, step outside reception doors onto a quiet sea front promenade , to the hotels sea front covered drink/meal area. Had evening meal on arrival and food quality was excellent (local fried sea food and chips). the sea front evening meal was a highlight of our holiday as sunset (photo). plenty of choices for breakfast which was continental style. Had hire car so contacted hotel prior to ensure 1 parking space. a short 10mins walk along nice promenade to busier areas if needed. Had sea view balcony room (Photo) Stayed 2 nights mid Oct 2025

“Peaceful October retreat”
A peaceful location when staying here in October overlooking the sea with no traffic noise or music from bars for travellers who want to explore Makarska without the crowds. A 15-minute walk from the bus terminal and walking the promenade is suitable for all ages. As the promenade is tree lined, seaviews may be obstructed, but I was lucky to have a room with a gap in the trees. The breakfast options are ample and delicious.

Super 👌 Everything was great – the staff, the comfort, the restaurant, and the food. The location was perfect, just a short walk from the sea. There was also parking, which we reserved in advance, and they kindly kept a spot for us – we really appreciated that.
