“Do Not Miss”
the vibes of the staff. always smiling. Dennis is an exceptional guide. the day walks are special. we visited the near by village where it felt so authentic as people simply live the way they used to for generations. food was so tasty. it is not the Hilton, but worth the experience if you want a glimpse of the Masai culture. some come for 1 night and it simply not enough. missing the experience and the vibe we feel

“Wonderfully unique experience”
I have just returned from a very unique and special stay at Maji Moto. I was welcomed as part of the family from the moment I arrived at the camp. Ben, Martin, Denis, Hillary, Edward and Inock - to name just a few - were all exceptional hosts. The camp is set in a wonderful setting, so peaceful and the scenery is incredible. The tents were very comfortable, the freshly prepared meals substantial and very tasty, and everything spotlessly clean. Learning about the Maasai culture was fascinating. I learned so much from the various activities, including visiting a school, hot water spring, using a bow and arrow and walking to find wild giraffe and elephant. It’s was an experience I’ll always cherish, and was the highlight of my trip to Kenya. I really hope to return one day.

“An amazing experience in nature, amazing views, great food, very commited staff. The staff play a key role by sharing ab”
It is all about a simple connection with the Maasai culture and network. Get away from too much of everything - to a simple but very rich way of living. Food is like that, simple but delicious. A walk to the near village, a great approach to the real way of living of the local community. The camp leverages solar power. Bathrooms are shared and traditional (no water flush) - for some people this might be the lowest point. Water is carried for a natural source everyday - for showers. Our family is not “camping” style - we slept however very well in the tents because they are very well equipped. In short - great connection with nature, amazing view, rich cultural experience. Loved it. It is close enough to Maasai Mara - the team coordinated a safari day.

Everything about Maji Moto Eco Camp was exceptional. The tents and facilities are the perfect mix of simplicity with comfort. The food was devine. The view is incredible! But what makes the camp unforgettable are the incredible staff. Ben was our guide and we couldn't have asked for more - his knowledge and kindness was unsurpassed. Thank you all for making this the highlight of our trip.

“An amazing experience that I’ll never forget!”
I loved everything about my stay here. Amazing scenery and all the staff were so kind and made me feel at home. Everyday they organize an activity and I learnt so much about the masai culture. Delicious home made food and then everyone sits around a fire for some story telling. I couldn’t recommend this experience enough!

“Great experience with few improvements to make 7b 6yb”
This is an amazing place where Massai tribe works and provide income for locals. Tents are comfortable, the stories, activities etc really nice, the visit of hot springs, Massai village and nature walk fantastic. Food was simple but nicely seasoned and tasty. Views from the restaurant (and a toilette) spectacular. Highly recommended experience.

“An experience not to be missed!”
This is an experience we won't forget! The campsite was beautiful. The facilities are not only functional and eco, they're beautifully designed. The shower and toilet with a view are not to be missed. The hot water is fetched from the natural hot springs, so it really is eco. Just don't spend too long in the shower to respect others wanting a hot shower. Our tent was spacious, and with sufficient privacy. We re-packed everything into one suitcase to avoid taking two big suitcases into the tent for the couple of nights we were there. The staff were very helpful, and explained everything in the camp well. We enjoyed all the food, the culture visits, the tours, learning about Maasai life, and the whole experience. I read in a guide book that it's 'put-on' for tourists but the majority of the staff are real Maasai although they're perhaps of the generation that is now schooled, etc. they still know a lot about their own culture and will happily answer any questions to teach you about their lifestyle.

We stayed 3 nights in the camp and we loved it. The place is surrounded by beautiful nature, it clean and offers simple, but delicious food. Everyone was very friendly to us and we got to learn a little bit about the Maasai culture. We hope to return and try some of the activities.

“Wonderfully friendly Masai people with a authentic eco-camp experience.”
This was an emergency stay for us because our vehicle broke down nearby so we missed the closing time for the gates to the Masai Mara. The lodge staff whipped up a delicious dinner for us specially, at way past dinner time. Breakfast was rudimentary but adequate. The property is an eco-camp run by the local Masai community. If you want haute cuisine, stay at a luxury hotel (and pay a lot more.) The Masai people running the camp could not have been more friendly and the views out over the plains are spectacular. The tents are rudimentary but clean and comfortable.

“recommended to any nature lover who enjoys exchanging and lesrning…”
From arrival to departure we felt very much welcomed by the lovely and warm team of Maji Moto. We enjoyed the walks, tents, setup of the camp, the open air showers with the hot water sourced directly from the well and the conversations with the team around James, Sam and Ben! Huge thanks and ache ole to all 11 for exchanging on live and nature while walking, sitting around the fire, watching the birds and at the look-out terrace during our three days and nights in Maji Moto.

“Unforgettable stay in a camp run by masai staff. Views are breathtaking.”
The camp is run by masai staff who welcomed us and walked with us to teach us about the traditions. In the evening we enjoyed our stay with the masai staff who danced and showed us how to make fire.

“travel is the best education and it doesn’t come finer than this”
I’m still in touch with the Maasai guys at MajiMoto, Ben, Sam, Hilary and James, way after leaving the camp. That’s what happens there. You learn the intricacies of Maasai life, the ways and customs, but moreover the people. The way there are, think and act. I think there one of the finest, balanced, genuine, interesting and interested people on earth. So much to willingly give and the camp plays a perfect host to this.
