Firstly, Fabricio was a fantastic host, he spoke excellent English, giving us a warm welcome, information about the property, local area and helpful recommendations. The accommodation is beautiful, tasteful appointed throughout and our room was very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, with a special mention for Fabricio’s homemade fig jam and the delicious honey from his hives. We can also recommend the local restaurant La Casona, just across the rail track, the local dishes were great and the service friendly, excellent value. We’d definitely love to return and stay longer in this space lovely Hosteria, especially as there is so much to see and enjoy in the region.

We had such a lovely 3 night stay. Daniela was very helpful and welcoming when we arrived and throughout our stay. The hotel is the beautiful home of the owner, Marina and her husband. It is so lovely to see the wonderful art work displayed all over the property from her father in law who used to live in the house. Marina was very helpful in explaining how we could visit Salinas Grandes, which was a magnificent experience. The stunning colourful rock formation behind the hotel was at its best in the afternoon sun. The hotel was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was cereals, bread, jam and cake.

This place is absolutely stunning, with attention to every little detail. It was hands down the best stay I had during my time in Argentina. The setting is beautiful, and the atmosphere is incredibly relaxing. I highly recommend trying the dinner on-site – the food is delicious! Everything about this stay exceeded my expectations, and I would love to return. Truly a gem!

“A hidden gem in Jujuy!”

The place is truly a gem. The rooms are comfortable and well furnished, with charming decorations. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The breakfast we had was all homemade and super tasty. The location is very convenient if you’re travelling in the Jujuy province, and cheaper than other villages nearby, highly recommended instead of going to Tilcara or Purmamarca.

We had an incredible experience at La Paleta del Pintor Hosteria, thanks to the wonderful host, Fabricio. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed warmly into a beautiful and artistic oasis. The entrance of the hostel is charming, and Fabricio shared a touching story about his grandfather, who originally bought the house, lived there, and was a painter. This personal history is reflected in the artistic details throughout the property. The inner garden is a peaceful retreat where you can relax and unwind. It’s clear that a lot of care has gone into creating a serene and welcoming atmosphere. Fabricio was an exceptional host, always open to having a friendly chat and eager to help with anything we needed. We especially enjoyed our conversations during dinner, which made our stay feel even more personal. The food was fantastic, with a delicious dinner and breakfast. The location is also perfect, as it’s near a scenic hiking trail, Paleta del Pintor, offering breathtaking views. If you’re looking for a place with a personal touch, rich history, and a hint of Italian charm, I highly recommend staying here. This hostel is more than just accommodation—it’s an experience.
