“Lovely long weekend, sun-filled get-away!”

The location is amazing - you drive through some salt flats and are greeted by flamingos. The setting is so tranquil and beautiful! The room was very comfortable, clean, well organised with a lovely view. The wider house is very artistic with an interesting collection of books, antiques, furniture. Breakfast was amazing with a good choice of items - all local and fresh. The host is very welcoming and explained about the surroundings and gave recommendations. We’re looking forward to coming back again soon!

We loved the property and location. Although very remote, it is even more special. The mansion is just amazing to discover and Dmitri was a very nice host with good tips for getting around the farm. The room was super clean and airy. The hosts offer breakfast and organize dinner every day.

We had absolutely incredible moments staying in this place. This place is like magic and has stunning surroundings (mountain, wildlife, beach, sunset, and sunrise). We were warmly welcomed by friendly , wonderful, and helpful people. Meals are homemade and local products. If you are seeking serenity and appreciate nature, this is the one.

The location was wonderful. Fantastic views. The property had a relaxing atmosphere, quite different from other accommodation we have stayed in. Not so much a hotel as a way of life!

Mongofre is in an incredible location, deep in S'Albufera Natural park, with easy walks to its own beach, saltpans (with flamingos), and links to the Cami de Cavalls trail. Mongofre itself is lovely, with huge common areas, flamboyantly decorated with works by artists in residence, and lovely quiet corners, including a library, reading room, chapel and studios. There are great views in all directions and outdoor areas to sit and admire them. It's very quiet and well off the beaten track. There are also delicious breakfasts, largely of local produce, and lovely suppers are available, although there is also a fine guest kitchen to cook for yourself.

The property is beyond special. The accommodation is nice, clean and comfortable. The surroundings are stunningly beautiful, there are so many things to discover. Very helpful and kind staff. Undoubtedly a worthwhile experience. We will go back for sure!

“It is an oasis of calm that is hard to leave”

The location is really special - accessed down a long private road which at one point goes through a lake it feels like an adventure getting there and it is just so peaceful and relaxing. 360 beautiful unspoilt views and the skies at night are stunning. It is really special to be able to walk just ten minutes at sunrise down to the beach and have it all to yourself. It's completely unaccessible by anyone other than the few guests at Mongofre. The two ladies running the place are both really lovely and accommodating.

We stayed at 4 agriturismo hotels during our 10 day break in Menorca and this place was the best for many reasons. The location is wonderful with spectacular views of the coast and the nature reserve, plus flamingoes and turtles. The accommodation was perfect. The building is authentic, beautiful and intriguing with the main house containing much interesting art to enjoy throughout and a large library. There are private beautiful beaches a forest, a lake, an estuary, salt plains, caves, all within a few minutes walk. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The owner Dimitri took much appreciated time to ensure we had a good experience and also to explain his passion for the place and future plans all of which was wonderful to hear. We did not have enough time to fully appreciate the place and its people and I would go back tomorrow if that was possible. Thankyou for a truly special time.

We fully enjoyed our stay in Mongofre Agroturismo. For nature and history lovers it is the perfect place to visit Menorca. By car it takes about 20 minutes from the airport to reach the gates of the domain which includes and estuarine lagoon where flamingos roost. The old palace like residence is located on top of a hill in the middle of a natural park (Reserva de la Biosfera del Nord de Menorca). The closest beach (playa del savinar) is 5-10 and the Addaya port 20 minutes away by foot (same by car 😊). The port is small enough for those who don’t like overcrowded places and has a small restaurant where you can eat local fish cought in the morning. We rented canoes to experience the coast from a different angle and paddled for half a day. Small boats are also an option for those who want to enlarge their exploration range and don’t necessary enjoy getting a bit wet. The natural park is zig-zagged by walk-paths which I used for running in the morning prior to breakfast and after sunset. The air quality is excelelnt and for those living in cities but longing to re-connect with nature it is the perfect palce to be. Depending on the temperature and intensity of the sun and wind the terrain offers a multitude of choices from shaded woods, to open grazelands or rugged cliffs to choose from. What helped me discover this pristine reserve and estate is the Bergfex application. Breakfast, lunch or dinner can be taken inside or outside depending on the weather. For the outside places one can choose from shaded (protected inside the estate walls from the wind) or with a full view towards the sea and natural reserve while feeling the gentle breeze. .
