Kevans casa staff were exceptional. They were always happy to help, polite and I always felt safe as a solo female traveller. The rooms were also beautifully furnished and decorated. Because the location was so close to the Mahinganaya bus stand, I also found it quite easy to navigate and find tuk-tuk rides

“Everything you need in one place”

We highly recommend this place if you are visiting Mahiyangana. Bed is comfortable, room is clean (also serviced daily), has aircon and hot water. Breakfast is great with lots of options. Lunch and Dinner menus are also extensive, which is good considering this is not yet a high tourist area. The hotel workers speak good English and will assist you with everything. Their own tours mean you have everything you need in the one place. But you can also simply ask for a tuk tuk if you want to explore on your own. We did both the Dambana Vedda Village tour and the Rathna Ella Falls and it was amazing. The team really go above and beyond and they even packed us a take away breakfast as we checked out early for our next destination.

Our stay at Kevan´s Casa was mostly a positive experience. The food was fantastic! We only tried the sri lankan food and it was great - the breakfast offered a wide selection of dishes and the quantity was more than enough. The dinner was a la carte, and the special kothu and black pork curry was amazing. The restaurant is outdoors, so there are many mosquitos (sort of solved when they turn on the fans). The staff was very attentive and friendly - especially, our "Kevan´s Casa experience" guide, Lahiru. We opted for the Maduru Oya safari and the Rathna Ella hike - both were fun and worthwhile.

The lobby can be considered ok. The pool is not a pool at all.

“Extraordinary, luxurious, great hospitality”

We could give 10 stars for this amazing stay. We did not expect much and were completely overwhelmed by both the service and the fabulous accommodation. We had a very warm welcome with hot towels, ice tea and luggage carrying service. The rooms are super spacious and absolutely clean (we got an upgrade :), but all rooms looked very nice). The best we got in Sri Lanka by far! Western Standard with Sri Lankan hospitality! 🙏🏻☺️ Pool was also very nice to take a swim and afterwards you can have a cocktail in the shaded lobby outdoors. Hotel is located in a very calm area, walking distance to town. The food served at the restaurant was absolutely delicious at very reasonable prices. Also breakfast was amazing, you can choose between Sri Lankan and Western breakfast. The hotel manager was always around to ask how we are doing. He and all the staff were extraordinary friendly and helpful. We cannot understand negative reviews - in that case - these might be FAKE. We highly recommend staying at Kevans Casa on the way between Sigirya and Ella. Thank you so much again! 🙏🏻

“A hotel located in a natural and unspoiled area”

The property is well appointed with very helpful and courteous staff. Pradeep the GM was v attentive and always available to help if needed. An unforgettable experience was breakfast by the lake with Lahiru as a guide. He was very helpful, polite and courteous. This experience will stay in our minds for a long time.

“Beautiful small hotel”

Kevan's house was super accomodating and the staff was really nice. I am vegan and they were able to make Sri Lankan breakfast for me in the morning which was delicious.

Stayed for one night in July 2023. The room was spacious, clean and well furnished. The room had air conditioning as well as a ceiling fan. The bed was comfortable. There was no mosquito net, but I wasn't bothered by, nor, noticed any mosquitoes. However, the reception did request that the doors opening to a small balcony be kept closed in the evening. The room had a tv, fridge and tea / coffee making facilities. Water was provided in clay jugs, which was a nice touch, as well as keeping the water cool. The Sri Lankan breakfast I had was tasty and consisted of the main dish and tea / coffee. The hotel also has a pool. The staff were friendly and helpful. It's a nice, comfortable, clean and reasonably priced hotel to stay in. Recommended.
