the location is 2-3 mins to the beach, the staff makes you feel warm & welcome immediately. Rooms are adequate & super clean - they cleaned everyday and we were always provided with fresh sheets. also a SUPER top thing, is the restaurant next door: The wave. The chef is absolutely class & with some restrictions we had x he really followed them on point! the food was part of this incredible time for sure, especially after a full day of sun and snorkeling :)

They met me with flowers and came out to see me off. It was so nice. The island itself is very beautiful. The location was excellent, so close to the beach. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, happy to sort out any problems and the room was clean and comfortable with a modern bathroom/wet room

“Excellent stay”

What an amazing stay at this Inn. Couldn't find even one little thing that I disliked. Excellent communication with people working there. Everyone was polite, understanding, and helpful. Transport from the airport was arranged promptly even though our plane was late. The food was exceptional. All the facilities are very clean. Couldn't find anything wrong with the place. I would like to thank all of the people working there. Even though I do not remember the names, I would like to thank each of them for the unforgettable experience. If we would be so lucky to visit beautiful Maldives again, we would definitely choose the same Inn. Thank you 😊

“Fantastic family place with very personal touch and care, beautiful island, food and great people!”

This was such a treat! I would give 11 out of 10 if I could. When we arrived to Mahibadhoo, we were greeted by entire Mohamed´s family, it was quite touching, kids gave us flowers and we felt very welcomed. The house is very well maintained, rooms are comfortable and nice. But the main jewel were the people that were taking care of us! They made our vacation very special and to be remembered. Our guide, Ayya, took us around island and provided us with understanding of life on the island. His sister prepared for us traditional food to taste. He also took us snorkeling around the island. We purchased an adventure trip to go swimming with shark, what a special event. Kids loved it! And the true pleasure was the food: we have 3 people preparing the food and it was the most delicious ever. Nicely decorated with great servis and always a big smile. When we were leaving, the guys took us to the port and waved us off. What a great experience. If you can, take the time to visit this place, it has a quality of resort with family environment and very personal touch. I can highly recommend for families, beach is nearby and the entire island is very peaceful and friendly.

The rooms were an absolute downgrade. As compensation, they offered us a free day trip. The excursions we were able to choose were the cheapest and not the ones we wanted. The food was miserable. On the first day we got chicken cooked in “western style” and asked about local food and fish. Our tour guide promised us that we would get some local food, but we didn't. Breakfast was the same every day, omelet with sausage and baked beans from the cane. Furthermore, there was no choice of dishes, the food was served to us randomly. It seems like the communication between our guide and the chef is not working.

Very nice and clean hotel, conveniently located close to bikini beach. Its beautiful terrace allows you to eat with a view of the sea. The kindness and helpfulness of the staff and their ability to meet our needs and fulfil our wishes made our stay at Vilu Thari Inn perfect. The staff is operative and always ready to help you discover the paradises of nature, above and below the water. Highly recommended.

Breakfast on the 3rd floor with great ocean view. Large range of excursions. Snorkeling equipment avaible for guests. Location near shops and bikini beach.

“Not Recommended”

The staff was attentive and kind. The offered tours are great, and these guys did an amazing job. Thanks to them and the excellent restaurant Flame around the corner, we had some great experiences. The prices for meals at the Flame are a third of what you pay in the hotel restaurant. We wouldn't book this hotel again.

The guest house is very nice, rooms are clean, food is very good, bikini beach is super close, reef reacheable in a few meters, and in particular staff is incredibly amazing! We did 4 excursions (sandbank, manta point, deserted island, sunset fishing) and we can just suggest you to do the same!

Genuinely friendly staff, answered all our questions, helped us explore the island, arranged a great whale shark snorkelling trip just for my family. Hotel food was the best we had in the Maldives. Hotel was very very clean (all the places we stayed in Maldives were clean). Island had an amazing house reef if you are a competent swimmer, also good for paddle boarding. Just brilliant place to go.
