I had a spacious modern room and bathroom. The guesthouse is located close to the tourist beach and there is an excellent restaurant nearby. It was very quiet. A speedboat can be booked to transfer from the airport to the island for $45 each way - few run each day so you need to check in relation to flights. The island is very small and quiet - no cars, and you can walk around it in 15 minutes. There is nothing to do except beach or trips - prices range $40 - $90 depending on time and distance. Great for a relaxing holiday.

Spacious air conditioned room with comfortable bed, in a perfect location - Very close to tourist beach. Upstairs veranda is great for breakfast and chill time. Staff (Sunday and Zakir) were friendly and helpful, provided information on the island and transfers/transport. Ahmed the owner is very responsive and caring. Breakfast was generous and served within our preferred times.

The staff of the hotel is super helpful, and welcoming - - thanks Ahmed, Sunday for taking good care of us. We joined a number of excursions with them eg whaleshark, manta, sunset fishing, sunset dinner in inhabited island, snorkeling tours All of them went above and beyond - very thoughtful arrangement, good food etc. - quiet room near to the sea, good location - good breakfast - very warm service highly recommended!

Our best hotel in Maldives. It's a small, very welcoming, and family-run hotel. The owner, Ahmed, and his team made us feel right at home. They create a great atmosphere with the other guests, and we felt very comfortable. Mahibadhoo is a local island with a very good house-reef. We saw even some sharks just swimming around the island by ourselves! The trips have a good price and Ahmed does everything he can to ensure you enjoy the experience. They have free fins and mask if you need them. We took the whale shark and manta ray excursion with them, and they really did their best to make sure we saw them. I could swim alongside a whale shark and then with a manta ray, and it was one of the most beautiful experiences of my life. Even after we moved to another hotel on a nearby island, we continued to book excursions with them. Ahmed truly cares about his guests and makes you feel at home. If I can go back someday, I'll definitely book with them again. I really think that finding this place made our holidays un unforgettable experience. Thank you Ahmed

“Clean, comfortable, ideally located homestay”

It was fabulous. Lovely big room with a comfortable bed and great shower. In a perfect location, only a short walk from the beach. The breakfasts were great. Simple omelette with toast and fresh fruit and tea and coffee. Lovely staff too who were always ready to help you.

My review is based on their new building. Room really nice and comfortable. Have never seen so many plugs in one room and the bed was super comfy. Just no balcony or view. The owner and staff are really friendly. Breakfast was basic but good. Definitely for the price worth staying.

Perfect location, 3 minutes walk to tourist beach. Humble and welcoming hosts. Everything is as described. I hope that you’re not expecting luxury at this price. If you are looking for an authentic, local experience, then this island and this property is for you.

Perfect location, the room were big and clean. The staff is amazing. They make sure you have a pleasant stay.

There was absolutely nothing to dislike about propriety nor people there. Atmosphere is slow and chill, rooms bright, very clean and specious. Breakfast were simple but tasty and we could borrow everything we need to snorkel and have a good time on the beach. But most important part of the stay was people who worked there - owner and two gentlemen who worked in Raalhu Fonu are really helpful, kind and sweet people, making you feel like home away from home. We all have really enjoyed time we spent chatting with all of them. I can’t imagine better place for family holiday and I’m already looking forward to come back to this fantastic place and people.

“Lovely staff and a great place to stay”

We were right on the beach. The staff were super helpful, especially when the public ferry was cancelled and we needed to make alternative travel arrangements. The room was great - clean and comfortable with good air-conditioning.

Had an absolutely fantastic stay here, and the owner went out of the way to make sure I was comfortable and even upgraded me to a better room which was so appreciated! The place is really close to bikini beach and has 2 lovely terraces

We had a truly wonderful stay at Raalhu Fonu Maldives. The room was clean and very comfortable, and Ahmed’s staff were always attentive and helpful, making us feel at home from the very first moment. Ahmed went far beyond simply providing accommodation. He personally took us on a snorkeling trip where we discovered breathtaking marine life, and arranged an unforgettable excursion where we had the chance to swim with sharks and rays – a once-in-a-lifetime experience we will never forget. We are also deeply grateful for Ahmed’s assistance in organizing a private speedboat transfer when we moved on to another atoll. His friendliness, warm hospitality, and helpful attitude made our days on Mahibadhoo Island not only enjoyable but truly special. Thank you, Ahmed, for everything – we left with happy hearts and wonderful memories.

“Lifetime memories with affordable costs”

Beautiful small island (Mahibadhoo) with clean, white sand tourist (bikini) beach, coral gardens, all kinds of beautiful fish + rays, free sun chairs. We did not see sea urchins but sea shoes or flippers are recommended. . Sometimes we were alone on the beach, sometimes with two-three couples/families. It is good to know that there is also hospital on the island It is a fairly new, small, friendly hotel with few rooms. Our bathroom was modern with overhead rain shower and hand shower. WIFI was okay. Ahmed (the owner) promptly replied to all our questions. He booked transfer (speed)boat seats for us, We could borrow snorkelling mask and fins free of charge. He provides half day motor boat tours, e.g. to swim with nurse sharks and sting rays, to turtle point and sand bank, etc. Hassan is also very nice, helping guests, taking care of us during organised trips and making nice GoPro and DJI drone videos. As they say, and I agree, they are making lifetime memories for their guests. They have gorgeous videos on Instagram (raalhu_fonu). You can also watch (soon) my Youtube video. The hotel only serves breakfast but there is a small local restaurant (The Wave) few steps away,

Mahibadoo, like other islands in Ari atoll is beautiful and peaceful.

“Unforgettable!”

The staff was incredible: very kind and always available for every need. The excursions are wonderful — they know the best places, take photos, shoot drone videos, grilled fresh fish and truly make you feel at home! A special mention goes to our friend Sunday/Saddam, who followed us from breakfast until late at night, supporting us every day and really making us feel like part of the family. If you want to experience real Maldivian life while still enjoying amazing experiences, this is the perfect place to go. They truly deserve a 10/10 rating!

“Good value for money. Few more words by the property would have been nice”

Don't know if It was just me catching a price drop but getting a room this close to the best side of the reef, with aircon and breakfast included, for less than 40 dollars a night was definitely good value for money.
