Beautiful gardens and wildlife. Lovely swimming pool. Secluded beach and a small fishing bay both within easy walking distance. Good breakfast. Upul and his wife are a delightful couple and could not have been more helpful.

I liked everything It was absolutely remarkable stay! I highly recommend this homestay, thank you Upul and Ganga for your hospitality and service , I was feeling I'm visiting friends and felt very welcomed, you really feel a part of family , it was so much warm and care from both of you. If anyone seeing this review it's a sign to choose this place when you visit Sri Lanka. I've started my trip from this place and already missing it. Room and villa is very clean, well maintained, amazing pool, green and blooming garden, tasty breakfast, everything is perfect. Upul was showing interesting places around, we had tours to the river, temple, waterfall, turtle farm. I will come back again. Thank you 🙏

“Nice host”

The host couples are nice and helpful. The father sent us to 6km far restaurant late at night. The breakfast is good and has a lot of fresh fruits.

Lovely place to stay. Clean and well equipped. V comfortable. Lovely pool although its dark colour is not ideal. Delicious breakfast (included ) and supper ($10 per head for Sri Lankan curry. Please note this is NOT beachfront. The nearest beach for swimming is a 15 minute tuk tuk journey. The best part of this accommodation are the hosts who are lovely and amazingly helpful.

Very warm welcome. We were offered tea or fresh coffee immediately and Ganga (our hostess) asked if we were hungry (we were starving!) and prepared us a delicious home cooked meal. The villa is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by lush gardens and has a lovely pool. Rooms are immaculate and comfortable. Fresh coffee (delicious) and tea is always on hand and breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Ganga and Upal are amazing hosts. Ganga did our laundry, fed us and Upal took my husband on a day tour of the local sites and temples (I stayed at the villa and had the most lovely lazy day) The shops and high street are a 5 minute walk away and everyone is so friendly and welcoming. We had the most lovely time there and were rested and refreshed. Upal offers an airport shuttle too for a very reasonable price. We’ve decided to change our travel plans and go back there because we loved it so much. I highly recommend this place, in fact I’d say this has been the most hospitable and welcoming place we’ve ever stayed. The price is very reasonable, the time spent there is just bliss and the company of Ganga and Upal is just the icing on the cake.

The manager's Ganga and Upul are a lovely couple that run the Villa. Nothing was too much trouble, you just had to ask. The location is just off the main road and walkable to local shops. They have a beautiful dog Kulu who is friendly and no bother to guests. A good place to stay for sightseeing and walking to the beach. The breakfast was very good. I had Sri Lankan on 2 of the mornings.. The pool is a dark tile which I found difficult to see at night to the floor. It's not deep and a good size for a swim. Altogether , good trip.

“A comfortable stay with welcoming hosts”

A beautiful place with comfortable air-conditioned rooms in a private villa surrounded by a garden. A swimming pool available anytime, extremely nice and helpful hosts. You can also order tasty lunch/dinner. To reach a beach, you need to walk for about 5 minutes in between surrounding houses. Thanks for the advice to go to see Galle by train, it was fun and definitely worth the trip.

I made a mistake and messed up my accommodations and needed a room for a night in short notice. Colibri Villa is a perfect getaway from the busy city life. Upul and Ganga welcomed me with open arms and couldn’t do enough for me the one night I was there. Beautiful gardens with fruit trees, lovely pool to cool down. Delicious meals made by Ganga. It was a wonderful mistake and having a night at this accommodation has left me with wanting to bring family back here for a longer visit. Thank you 🙏🏽

We loved our stay in Colibri villa. The place is very beautiful and clean and the couple who take care of the property were very friendly and helpful. Our son immediately loved their dog who is very friendly and well-behaved.
