“A great and friendly hotel”

We much prefer these smaller family run hotels. Looked after with a smile the moment we arrived. Service had finished in the restaurant but the lovely lady made us a delicious sandwich. Nice room and delicious and very reasonable evening meal and wonderful breakfast. Excellent secure bike storage too. Thank you.

Great hotel in a very pretty town. It was very quiet even though it's on the highway. Our room was perfect and our dinner at the restaurant was delicious. Great storage for our bikes!

A wonderful and welcoming hotel with friendly staff and an amazing owner Katia. Nothing is too much trouble and the food is typically hearty and delicious. Above all though it is the warmth and hospitality of Katia and her staff that made our stay so memorable and enjoyable. A 30 minute drive from Vitoria-Gasteiz in beautiful countryside on the edge of the National Parque it's an oasis of welcome and clearly the hub of social life in Maestu. Thank you Katia, and your staff, for making our stay so lovely. And thank you for your genuine warmth and welcome.

Incredibly friendly and helpful staff made us feel very welcome from arriving to the time we left. This is a wonderfully rustic little hotel and restaurant, with an exceptional menu of local produce, cooked exceptionally well. I would definitely recommend this place for a stay, or the restaurant if you’re only passing through

Food was excellent and good value. Home cooked choice of desserts were available. The hosts were extremely helpful and very professional. Everything was tailored towards making sure we were comfortable and all our needs were met, even as far as room choice. A separate large sitting room for guests is very useful and comfortable. We loved our overnight there and would like to return to explore the region further.

More like a bar/restaurant than a hotel but a really great bar/restaurant! The staff were extremely attentive and the whole place was really welcoming. These people know how to eat - the food was excellent and at a reasonable price. A great stopover for ferry back to U.K.

The location was excellent some of the food delicious, our rooms very clean and beds made in our absence. Breakfasts good with fresh fruit and orange juice.

The hotel was clearly the focal point of much local life and had a great atmosphere throughout the day. The rooms and common area were very comfortable. The highlight though was the evening meal in the restaurant - this was relatively expensive (in comparison with the cost of the hotel) but justifiably so; some of the best food we had in Spain, even in comparison with Bilbao and San Sebastian which we had just come from.
