“Great value for money”

The hostel was very comfortable and had great facilities. Having the bathroom inside the room was very convenient. The location is excellent, right in the city center, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. We especially appreciated the privacy curtains and the small shelves in the bunk beds, which made our stay even more comfortable. Javier was great and took the time to give us recommendations on where to shop, eat, drink, and what to visit in the city. The receptionist on the night shift was extremely helpful and kindly arranged a taxi for us, as we had a very early morning flight. The rooftop area was also very nice.

“Practical stay”

Second time staying at The Hat in a women-only dormitory while on a work trip, it was a great stay just like last time. The staff is very friendly, the place is clean and you've got everything you need by your bedbunk.

The four-bed dorm was amazing. The bed was very comfortable (with two pillows!), great water pressure in the shower, working A/C, fun rooftop.

“Perfect Location, clean, and great place to meet people!”

Finding Hat Madrid was very easy! It’s very close to Sol Station and Plaza Mayor. The facilities were good! they have a common area, a dining area downstairs, and everything was clean. The beds were also comfortable, and I liked that each bed had curtains for privacy. I also availed the breakfast option and it was definitely worth it. There’s also a Carrefour just right across the hostel, which was very convenient. One more thing I loved was the rooftop! They also offer free walking tours every morning starting 10am, which made the stay even more worth it. I met a lot of fellow solo travelers, and it was really fun talking and hanging out with them. I would definitely stay at this hostel again on my next trip to Madrid.

Great brekkie buffet, bed was SUPER comfortable and I loved how secure I felt with the curtain and not having to worry about falling out of the bed ahaha, the cave (i.e. dining area) was super comfy and felt like home, and I loved the social atmosphere of the hostel -- everyone in my dorm got along well and we became friends quickly! That seemed to be the culture at this hostel, which was great. The housekeeping staff were phenomenal and work so hard, they deserve a huge shoutout for their commitment. I saw the same staff everyday and I really respect the amount of effort they put into keeping the Hat very tidy and spotless. I also really liked how I could drop my luggage off early before check in and the system they had set up (they give you a number and lock your bag in a storage room to make sure you don't take any one else's belongings, super secure).
