Location was excellent. We didn’t have breakfast as so many cafes within 2 minutes walking from the hotel. 5 minutes from Gran Via and all the shops and attractions.

An excellent location in a quiet and pretty square, which we particularly appreciated since we didn't know when we booked that we would be there the weekend that the Pope was visiting Madrid! We were fortunate to have a room overlooking the square, but were never bothered by the noise of late drinkers at local bars or the church bells, because the double glazing was excellent. We were grateful for being able to control the heat/air conditioning in the room and similarly, enjoyed the coffee/tea making facilities. Both the breakfast room and the bar/lounge area were very pleasant areas and all staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast options were varied, regularly replenished and the eggs-to-order system was well organised. The general chaos of getting a taxi on the day of the Pope's procession through the closed streets of Madrid was alleviated by sympathetic and helpful reception staff and for that we were particularly grateful.

This hotel is excellent. Great location. Plaza Mayor is about a 10 minute walk. The northern end of Gran Via is only a few minutes walk. Hotel has a good restaurant with a great breakfast. Staff are very friendly and really happy to help. There is an indoor courtyard area to sit and have a drink and outside the front door is Plaza San Martin, which has an outdoor cafe.

Sup clean and friendly people

Intelier is a chic hotel, nicely designed, perfectly positioned in a quiet charming plaza, just steps from the crowds. The room is spacious enough and we really appreciated the pillow menu. The concierge is helpful and friendly.

With the exception of the Retiro it is close to all the major attractions. The hotel is an easy walk to the Mercado San Miguel, Plaza Mayor, Palacio Real and Puerto de Sol. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The staff were courteous and helpful. A special mention for Ruben in the reception area and Sidi, who kept our room so nice and clean.
