This hotel is located in the heart of Madrid, into Gran Via, one of Madrid's main communications artery and well-known for its shops and theatres. Very central guest house with easy access by metro, bus or car (car park nearby). Very close to the city's main landmarks, friendly and cosy, for tourists and businessmen alike. All in a peaceful environment.

Room was neat and clean, front desk were lovely, very comfortable bed, everything you need including a little fridge, cute balcony, elevator up to the level, great value for money and great location on the main street/area, I loved my stay here.

Perfect location, clean, has everything you need. The room is small but amazing comsidering the price and location. The staff is very kind. Also, no outside noise at all, despite it being on the main street (I saw some reviews complain about it but that was not our experience at all).

The room was really clean and the motel is right on Gran Via, close to absolutely everything. I liked the kitchenette facilities, they were in handy. It's got an elevator, so not a worry about climbing stairs. Socket near bed was also useful. The noise from outside doesn't come in.

“AVOID - toilet didn't work, wasn't fixed and no remedy offered”
Unfortunately, our toilet wouldn't flush on the second day. We raised this with the receptionist who said he would sort it but when we came back later that night, it remained unfixed. We had to do our best to flush the toilet using bottles of water. We then raised it again on check out and asked to be contacted with proposals for compensation. We didn't hear back so I chased today and received a reply that they could not detect any fault. It is obviously a very basic requirement to have a flushing toilet in a hotel. Not only was that not provided, but there was a complete failure to rectify the matter or offer anything other than a bare denial. AVOID!!!

“For accommodation only, Hostal Lauria was excellent, providing a central base to explore Madrid”
Room was clean and spacious enough. Staff were friendly and helpful (super instructions for airport transfer sent proactively). Location was good (right on GranVia) with 3 Metro stations in close proximity plus walking distance to many of the main tourist spots.
