“The only lodge in Cotopaxi National Park. Views of the volcano, hiking or horse trekking, loved it!”

Great location, wonderful hiking, we wanted to stay for longer. We were upgraded to the VIP Suites because of a plumbing problem in our (Gold) room and we they upgraded us. Fabulous accommodation, choose it if you can. We had views of Cotopaxi volcano from the lounge and from our room and on our last night we saw the head torches of the climbers coming back down the volcano. It was a very special place to be.

Great atmosphere, wonderful views, and a fireplace in the room that was prepared by the staff. Amazing breakfasts and lovely service. A magical place. I will definitely come back someday!

Fantastic location if you want to stay in the park. Great view of Cotopaxi from the room and from viewing lounges. Very cosy in the evening when staff come in and fire up the log burner in the room. Keeps you snugly warm all night. Excellent breakfast and dinner options. Loads of relaxing space outside the room. Very comfy bed, plenty of room.

“Worth a visit”

Incredible location with incredible views from the bed. Sit and have a meal or relax with a beer and watch the hummingbirds at the window. Food was great as was the service. The room was perfect and the log burning stove lit in the early evening. I can’t fault it at all. Highly recommended. A good base for climbing volcanoes or just relaxing.

The location is the best, Cotopaxi is right there for us to enjoy and the surroundings to explore. The food was great, even though the kitchen has to get their timing right because our dishes did not came at time to the table at lunch or dinner.

The person on reception was not very helpful and didn't seem interested in us at all. The rest of the staff were great. The information given when booking is not very truthful as we didnt have a patio etc.

Beautiful location. Warm and cosy room with a fire that the staff lit each night. Lamas milling around. Great food. Lovely lodge. Helpful attentive staff. Only suggestion would be having trail map guides and what can be done from there

“Best place to stay to visit Cotopaxi”

Great location, view over Cotopaxi and other volcanoes was fabulous. Lots of birds in the grounds. Fantastic room with a lovely wood fire to keep you cosy. Restaurant food was good. If driving yourself allow a lot more time to get there - we nearly did not make it before park shut due to bad roads, cows and an accident (not us) slowing things dow.

It is right in the National park with the most stunning views. There is a fire place in the room which they put on in the evening. So we were nice and cosy. Simple meal options but tasty.

We stayed in the couples lodge and had a great fireplace in the room to keep us warm. The hotel organised a fab horse riding trip for us and helped us travel to our next destination. Also, you can’t get better than the view from the dining room! All in all it was fantastic - just beware it gets chilly so bring layers!

“Room with a magnificent view in a very friendly place.”

Tambopaxi is an truly exceptional place inside the National Parc. Through our window, we had a magnificent view on Cotapaxi Vulcano. Sleeping inside the National Parc has the great advantage that you can start a walk or a ride with horses at your door step. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant is good and the daily menu really fills up after a day of walking. A small but extremely lovely element was the fact that they light up the fireplace in your room at 17h00. Finally the place is "mountain" style so do not except a 5 star resort. But it fits perfectly in the environment and has a high standard. If you need transport, Guido with it's yellow school bus is a great person. You can ask his support through Tambopaxi Reception.

everything from the remarkable location with the view on the Cotopaxi, to the little fire that they lit on our room to stay warm. breakfast was good, dinner was awesome. this place was one of our favorite stops on our day down the sierra.
