This beautiful hotel was a real find! The buildings are all gorgeous, richly decorated with antiques and colourful local textiles. Fires crackle in the fireplaces. Our room in the main house was warm and super comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were completely delicious. The Asian toilet with heated seat was a real treat! The cherry on top? Hot water bottles magically appearing in our enormous bed while we were at dinner. And the super friendly and helpful staff. All this in the middle of nowhere. Porvenir deserves full marks!

We loved our stay here. The rooms were very comfortable. The staff are very friendly and were able to help organise all the activities we wanted. It is a great location to head to Cotopaxi and we loved the mountain biking in the ground. Meals were excellent on site.

“The most perfect retreat”

We had the most amazing stay at Hacienda El Porvenir. It was just fantastic. The property is stunning. A beautiful farm house that instantly makes you feel like home. It is peaceful, calming and relaxing and we loved just sitting by the fire in the lounge room. Our bedroom was lovely - the fire kept us warm and it had all the comforts we could want. We loved the hot water bottles as night - such a lovely touch. The food was fantastic. Breakfast was amazing and the lunch and dinner choices were excellent. So we really loved El Porvenir - but what made it even more special were the people. The front desk team were exceptional - Joanna, Matias and Raphael went above and beyond to make sure we had a fantastic stay. They were incredibly helpful and personable and they made our stay extra special. As did everyone else in the team - from the beautiful ladies who kept our fires going to the gentle,smiling ladies in the restaurant. The team at Porvenir are truly exceptional.

Staff was exceptional. They were always inquiring if we needed anything and if we were enjoying our stay. They responded to all of our needs very quickly. The welcome reception with drinks and empanadas was a wonderful bonus.

Perfect location. Not so difficult to join through Malachi with 4×2 and very near to north entry to parque cotapaxi. Lots of charm with fireplace in living room .Nice room and efficient small bathroom (standard private room) . Restaurant with choice ,inventive , good and nicely presented. You can go around by foot and see the horses in freedom . Nice horse ride at good price even for beginners with splendid view on cotapaxi snows and condors.

“Epic stay near magnificent Cotopaxi”

Hacienda El Porvenir is absolutelly amazing accomodation to stay next to Cotopaxi national park. We loved the premises as it is hidden in the countryside and thanks to its unique and well protected architecture you trully feel like in a different world. World of peace, quietness where you can enjoy the nature and magnificent Cotopaxi volcano. The room was super comfortable, the food was delicious and also their spa is incredible. All the staff is so kind and willing to help you. We also booked a hiking trip and a horseriding trip with them and it was epic.

“An authentic eco-farm experience with beautiful views”

The location at the bottom of Cotopaxi volcano was amazing and we were rewarded with a view of the volcano without cloud for a brief moment! The accommodation was picturesque and the rooms were rustic, but clean and warm. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was fine and we enjoyed the horse riding up in the hills very much. We were mainly impressed by the eco-vision of the Hacienda, with its goal to be sustainable and have minimal impact on the environment as well as employing local people and using local produce and selling locally made products. We liked the history of the place.

beautiful setting in quirky old farm cottage, lovely friendly helpful staff, nice food . we loved the welcoming feeling . Hot water bottles put in our beds was a lovely touch . Had 2 wonderful massages with Jessie .Met the owners who gave us some local history .

Magical place near Cotopaxi. Less than 10min drive from the National Park Gate. Food is exceptional. The Spa is a must-do, fire-heated steam bath (!)
