Food - All meals prepared by the people at reina ariera are excellent, you will not go hungry, consists of rice, beans, fish, chicken, eggs, fruits, cassava and plantain. Accomodation - comfortable and private with mosquito nets. Hospitality - Excellent, everyone was very friendly and attentive in trying to maximise our experience. Activities - Wide range to chose from, very fun! I would personally recommend the fishing.

“A lovely stay”

We felt right at home here! The whole family were lovely and made us feel very welcome. We had a great time fishing on the local river (we had our own fishing rods). We did the night walk tour which we highly recommend. We saw monkeys, tarantulas, large spiders and a scorpion. Welly boots were provided. The family were also kind enough to let us use their kitchen to cook some of our own meals. The meals served there are very reasonable and tasty too. We loved our stay!

We have traveled half the world and have never experienced anything like this. We do not speak Spanish, but we still felt perfectly taken care of. We saw the jungle from both land and water, we saw dolphins and learned about the Amazonian natural methods of dyeing fabrics and handicrafts. We fished for piranhas in a scenery like from Indiana Jones. But the best thing was the hospitality with which we were received. Always delicious meals 3 times a day. Infinite understanding if our language was too weak to ask something. Thank you very much, you are beautiful people

The best place for your unforgettable Amazon experience!! Staying with the Tikuna family of German, Sara and Calet makes you feel like you’re part of their life and community! The activities (all guided by locals from the community) offered by Reina Arriera are enough to stay for more than a week, but even in 2 days you can have a great experience. The Accomodation has potable water all day, the bathroom (always clean) and shower water are treated and there’s even wifi. The food cooked by Sara is always delicious and uses fresh, natural ingredients.

Everything about our stay was perfect! From the moment my friend and I arrived, we felt incredibly welcome. The whole family greeted us with warm smiles and coffee, making us feel at home right away. We were so lucky to be invited to the host’s daughter's wedding on the evening upin arrival. Experiencing this local celebration gave us a unique insight into the culture and hospitality of the people. It was truly a special experience. Our room was very clean, and both the bathroom and common areas were well-maintained. Everything was spotless and in great condition. The food was simply amazing—homemade and different every day, never repeating the same meal. The fresh juices were also incredible! They offer many trips, and we chose jungle trekking, morning birdwatching (where we were lucky to receive beautiful photos from German, as we didn’t have a proper camera), and an excursion to see unique hidden trees, which was really impressive! We also visited a more well-known tree in the area. The hosts know the surroundings very well and are genuinely eager to share their knowledge. On the day we left, it was raining, and the host kindly lent us high-quality ponchos and waited with us until the boat arrived. This small but thoughtful gesture really showed how much they care about their guests.

We stayed as two friends for 5 nights and could not recommend this place more. We felt extremely welcomed, Sara and German were excellent hosts and together with their sons Calet and Miguel and their daughter in law Ruth they made sure we had an excellent stay. They accommodated my vegetarian diet with no problems and all our meals were delicious and healthy home cooked food. They even organised our transfer from Leticia and Ruth collected us from the airport. They made a full programme of activities for us, it was varied and we saw lots of wildlife as well as some insight into local life. The room was very comfortable, huge beds with mosquito nets and even a fridge in the room to keep your drinks cold. They provided drinking water too for us whenever we needed. The common area was lovely and stays cool throughout the day with hammocks to relax in. We stayed for one night in the jungle in hammocks with our guide Israel who was extremely knowledgable and cooked us a wonderful dinner. Highly highly recommended to stay here!!

The hostel and the place itself are amazing!! It has everything you need and the location is perfect! The best thing however about this place are the people! Calet and his family are most loving, caring and welcoming people I have ever met! We enjoyed our stay so much because of them. Their energy and the energy of the place is something really special and is a must to stay in this place once you reach Leticia/Macedonia! Also the food of doña Sara is on another level - super delicious! Muchas gracias una vez por todo! Mucho amor por ustedes 🥰🫶🏼

“Simply incredible, cannot wait to return...”

German and his family are amazing hosts, so friendly and genuinely care so much about your experience there. The community is beautiful and very peaceful, and the house is lovely, with great spots for relaxing and delicious homecooked food. The activities are really varied and interesting and German will happily build you an itinerary based off what you want to do. Staying a night in the jungle is an absolute must - our guide Matú was very competent, knowledgeable, and kind. The prices are also super low, and yet this was one of the most special holidays we've ever had. We had such an insanely wonderful time staying here, I cannot recommend it enough!!
