The surroundings are very peaceful and beautiful. All we could hear was birdsong, and we were surrounded by trees. The mountain walk was lovely, with great views.

* the location was beautiful * no tv - no distractions * Hosts and staff are really friendly * Host provided videos of the dirt road leading up to the stay, allowed for me to determine if our car was eligible for driving through it or not ( 5 door hatchback with ground clearance of approx 130 mm to 160 mm for reference )

It is off the beaten track, so it is very peaceful and a great escape from city life. A must visit for birders. We were treated to amazing displays by the resident African paradise flycatchers. Other sightings include the Diedirichs cuckoo, chin spotted batis, gray headed bush strike, bar-throated apalis and cinnamon breasted bunting. Jenny and Alan are amazing hosts.

My friends and I had an exceptional stay at Thisrty Falls enjoying the refreshing and very peaceful environment around us. The hosts were amazing and I would definitely visit the Thirsty Falls again and recommend it to anyone who wants to get away from the busy life of the city and experience tranquility in the mountains.
