Beautiful 3-night stay at Thabametsi Farm with family 🌿❤️ Surrounded by hills and away from the outside world, this place was full of peace and nature. The kids absolutely loved experiencing all the farm animals, and the donkey cart ride along with the tractor ride was the cherry on top 🚜🐴✨ A perfect family getaway filled with fun, relaxation, and unforgettable memories.

The photos don't do the farm justice. I can carry on and on about the beauty of the place. It's amazing. The rooms are great. Just remember to bring everything you need (soap, coffee, sugar etc). It's a great escape and extremely child friendly. My son absolutely loved it here and would run out of the room every morning, the minute he opened his eyes. I struggled to keep him inside for meals. All he wanted to do was run outside and explore. Christie (the host) is an amazing person! Very down to earth and helpful. I loved her.

Nature, quietness and friendly staff.

It is a fabulous place for keeping children entertained. The staff went out of their way to keep us happy and make us comfortable. We will certainly be planning a return stay.

There are beautiful outdoor areas, the animals are so cute and the fresh air.

Owl cottage was very spacious and clean. Enormous comfy bed and fully stocked kitchen. Friendly farm animals that can be patted and fed apples. My dog loved all the freedom of being able to run around and enjoy herself. Lots of walks/hikes around the farm. Less than 2 hour drive from Johannesburg.

I liked the serenity, as well as the level of service from Christy. The beds were amazing.

The personal attention of the staff. Especially Chrissy and Johannes. They were excellent. I also liked the farm life, interacting with the animals and the location of the farm.

“A fun place to experience farm life.”

A lovely place to take kiddies to experience farm life. The animals are all very friendly. The children loved the horses, goats, donkeys and the tractor & trailer ride. The beds were very comfortable. It's great that we could take our 2 little doggies.

All the farm animals roaming freely at times My dog and parrot loved it there. The goats are too cute

This is a great place to recharge your batteries. Johannes and Christy were very welcoming. I loved the fact that they kept in touch but not in an intrusive manner. Everything was well thought out. The kitchen had enough utensils and the 1st thing that struck us is how clean the rooms and kitchen was. It was a cold weekend and there were enough blankets and the fire places kept us warm and toasty. I would recommend this place to anyone especially those with young children.

“Refreshing home away from the city”

The place was serene and peaceful. The children could easily interact with the animals. The cottages are well equipped with electric blankets. Fire place and heaters should you really be cold. The kids activity rides were fun for the whole family. We will definitely go back.
