Beautiful rooms on a beautiful Island. Rifath (our Host) was exceptionally kind, generous and welcoming. He looked after us very well, and made sure we were happy! We did a few tours they offered, and enjoyed ourselves very much. The whole staff was friendly and professional. It was a few minutes to the beach, but every single time we were offered a transport to the beach and also to the restaurants. We had a great time and definitely recommend staying here!

A very cozy accommodation with incredibly friendly staff who do their utmost to ensure a wonderful stay. The food is diverse, very delicious, and reasonably priced. An impressive encounter with a whale shark was also made possible thanks to Rippon, who later provided me with great photos of myself and the whale shark. There is a beautiful, clean, and spacious beach with fine sand, which can be reached on foot in about 15 minutes. Upon request, the friendly staff will also give you a ride there. The island is still strongly shaped by local life and therefore feels very authentic. I also saw very few tourists.

We really loved this hotel. When I was choosing a place to stay and came across it, I didn’t believe the number of positive reviews — it seemed too good to be true. But in reality, everything turned out to be even better. Service and Staff We were truly impressed by the level of service. All staff members — kitchen team, waiters, excursion guides, and the manager Rifat — were very polite, friendly, and genuinely willing to help. They did their best to meet all our requests. Without a doubt, the main strength of this hotel is its people. Rooms The rooms are spacious and clean. Housekeeping is done regularly, and towels are changed daily. The best option is a second-floor room with a jacuzzi and a swing. Stay and Food We stayed for a week, and our booking included a free excursion — snorkeling with turtles. It was absolutely amazing. We also had a half-board plan (breakfast and dinner). For the price, it’s an excellent deal. The food is good, with a decent menu selection, but keep in mind that Maldivian cuisine tends to be quite salty and spicy. If you prefer milder flavors, it’s better to ask in advance. Excursions and Experience The hotel offers a wide range of excursions, and they are the main highlight of the Maldives experience. The underwater world is incredible: we saw whale sharks, turtles, manta rays, nurse sharks, and many other beautiful marine species. Everything is well organized — guides take you by speedboat to various spots in the ocean. Additional Info You can exchange USD to Maldivian rufiyaa at the hotel at a good rate (better than at the airport). The hotel also has two massage chairs, and in the evenings you can feed sharks from the pier. It’s almost impossible to buy panthenol on the island, so if you tend to get sunburned, bring your own. However, the hotel helped us by providing fresh aloe leaves. There is also a shop next to the hotel with all the essentials.

“Good Value Hotel Stay for Few Nights or 1 to 2 weeks”

Rifath and the team are to be commended for their professionalism and flexibility. I missed my connecting flight and they were able to adjust the room rate accordingly. Their range of marine activities include Whaleshark, Turtles, Manta Ray and dolphins snokelling. The colourful fishes that come with it is just a bonus. If you want a budget accomodation with full board I recommend Koimala. The meals are delicious and satisfying and commensurate with their prices, Don't expect 6 star resort style but a simple island coastal village food or simple western style cooking are available. They will arrange transport from Male to Maamigili and return an will pick you up at the jetty including your luggage. The place is still developing and the roads are getting paved. There is also an airport, if you want a quicker way to travel.

The host and the staff were all fantastic they couldn’t do enough for us. The bikini beach is very quiet and it is beautiful. The tours were all amazing and the reason we booked in the first place, we saw whale sharks, manta rays, turtles and even fed the sharks on the final night

“Nice place of luxury on a local island”

The room was big and had a great view. The air conditioning was fantastic. The bed was comfortable, and there was a lot of outdoor space (balcony and terrace) to relax. The staff were friendly and helpful, and picked us up from the jetty and dropped us to the airport (even at 5am)! The food was tasty, and the excursions themselves were well organised.

It was my first time coming to Maledives and I chose this hotel on local island. It was absolutely amazing how friendly and helpful were people working there. Taking care of me everyday asking if everything is alright. 😊 Did amazing trips with the hotel as well, it was lot of fun. Food was nice as well. The benefit of this island is that you can take 2-3h boat trip but also 30mins flight from Male which is quite affordable as well. Thanks to the best hotel manager who also made me happy and found for me the most beautiful banknote with whaleshark and turtle the last day I stayed there. I couldn’t find this banknote anywhere else until then. 🫶🏻☺️ I can definitely recommend

We had an amazing stay at Koimala on Maamigili. Rippath, the owner, and his team went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The all-inclusive food was fantastic, and the service was full of warmth, care, and friendliness. New Year’s Eve was unforgettable— they invited all guests for a beautiful beach dinner followed by a fun party with staff and guests dancing together. It was really special. When we forgot our shoes at the hotel, Rippath even sent them by plane to Malé so we could have them back in time before our flight home. The hotel is beautifully located in the middle of the island, just a short walk to the stunning beach, and they always offer a ride if you prefer. The tours are excellent too—we saw turtles, manta rays, and even the whale shark! The island feels authentic and local, with tourism arriving slowly, making it extra special. The beach is beautiful, without houses and hotels in the background. Amazing blue water, white sand and green background (trees). Koimala is simply at the top of my list, and not just for the Maldives, ( and I have traveled a lot and been to various kinds of accommodations and all sorts of hotels) thanks to the amazing people who run it. We miss Koimala already!

1. The personnel of the hotel was absolutely amazing!!! We rate them 11/10. They were most attentive, friendly, funny, caring, and always willing to do the best to make us feel very good. Due to their excellent work, we felt like we were part of the great Koimala Team. 2. Fantastic trips, the best guide, and great captain! We were able to see whalesharks, mantas, turtles, and all kinds of colourful fish. The professionalism of our guide Ripon was sensational. He made all the possible efforts and more to enable us to get the most of these trips. We highly recommend taking these trips!! 3. The hotel is located in the middle of the village where local people live. It offers a great opportunity to see what everyday life is like there. 4. The hotel has less than ten rooms, which makes it possible to get to know well your fellow travellers.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel . ->Located close to the beach 7 min walk 1. There is list of activities you can pick from -> one activity was given to us for free. It’s very convenient that transport is provided to and from the boat. Activities are video filmed with go pro so we could actually have our videos of swimming with turtles filmed. 2. Breakfast, lunch dinner can be eaten in the hotel directly and staff is really friendly always going extra mile to accumulate extra wishes from guests. For breakfast for example 6 option was given to select from. 3. Room with AC and cleaning was provided daily.

Right in the middle of the down, pick up and drop off on the jetty by the hotel. The staff was so helpful and nice, they helped us with boat tickets when we were in a pickle. We had the most amazing excursions with go pro footage. Dreams came true. The restaurant inside of the hotel was so convenient and we ate all our meals there. There was a really difficult guest staying here, who had unrealistic expectations. And we saw the staff interact with her with grace and patience. This place is absolutely wonderful and we would come back.
