“Unforgettable expierence”

We have met our host in a restaurant on arrival. We were welcomed with a drink and host was very patient and answered all our questions. Accommodation had comfortable beds in spacious rooms in continental style. Kettle and fridge were available in all rooms. Air con was working fine. Guesthouse is in quiet location, away from the busy village. Guesthouse is located very close to the beach. Beach towels and sun beds were provided. We have stayed on Maalhos due to location as Maalhos is close to Hanifaru Bay. Martin, our host, is great in terms of communication. He is available 24/7 and constantly is checking on their guests to ensure that everything is well. He definitely made our stay enjoyable and he felt like a part of our family 😃 Thanks a lot for all your help Martin and all hard work you put into making people’s dreams come true! We will never forget swimming with manta rays!

The owner of the hotel is very nice and welcoming! We felt like home The island is also nice, but unfortunately we arrived during the bad weather with a lots of rain, so not all activities were possible The room is nice and spacious with good Wi-Fi! I really enjoyed the bathroom under the open sky 😍 Overall very nice experience, would recommend! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

“Slice of Paradise”

To Martin, Thank you. We had a wonderful (less crowded) stay on your stunning island. The room was amazing, modern, comfortable, clean and spacious. Our bathroom had an open shower where we could see the moon at night time, it was magical. We had complimentary water during our stay at the guesthouse. A beach towel and other towel were also provided along with coffee. The free breakfast was huge and delicious. So much so we chose to eat dinner every night at the restaurant as well. Very reasonably priced our meals were between 5-10US dollars each. Aside from the hospitality from you and Shariq our favourite part of our stay was the close proximity to the bikini beach, which had amazing snorkelling so close to the shore. We saw black tip reef sharks, eagle ray, hawksbill turtles and many schools of fish. At night we went with Shariq to the ‘secret spot’ which isn’t really secret but we liked to think so… and we were beyond delighted to be joined with several eagle rays, sting rays and 5-6 nurse sharks one night. We loved our stay! You can also rent snorkels for 5US dollars a day and there are many excursions that are reasonably priced. Thank you for organising our transport to and from the island by speedboat it took 2.15hours to get there and less than 2hours back (it can be rough for those prone to seasickness). Thank you, we absolutely loved our stay. * Please note when we arrived we were actually upgraded to another guesthouse owned by Martin, which is not on booking.com yet. We highly recommend it.

“Authentic paradise”

We had a wonderful stay at Martins accommodation on a beautiful island. The place was 100% authentic and cozy, with a close access to the sea. The host was the best, very friendly and helpful, and gave us many tips on what to do and see on the island. The food in the cafe was delicious and fresh, with a variety of dishes to choose from. We enjoyed every moment of our vacation and we will definitely be back for more. This is the perfect place to relax and unwind in paradise.

The host - Martin - is by far the best thing about this stay. He showed us around the island, organized all the tours, local flight tickets and answered any questions we had and helped with anything we needed. He will really do his absolute best to make your stay perfect. The accommodation itself is quite simple but includes everything you need and more (a lot of towels, hairdryer, etc.) so it was very comfortable and really clean. The food is provided in Martin's restaurant close by and again it was really good and there was lots of it.

“A new home out of home”

Martin made us feel at home from the moment of arrival. Upon some hours we already felt part of the family. The guesthouse is strategically located close to the harbour and the island's best restaurant. The rooms are spacious and clean, the mattresses are incredibly comfortable. Air conditioning works flawlessly, which is a must on this island. Will definitely come back and recommend it to anyone traveling to the Maldives who is looking for an authentic local experience.

Lovely island and Martin was a great host

The room was spacious and everything needed was there. Martin was a perfect host. Although we only met on my arrival day, Martin was always there to respond to my messages. He has amazing staff in the restaurant just opened who took really good care of me. His oldest daughter was also there to take care of me and she even invited me for a walk in the village. When I left it already felt like family to me. Already miss it!

“Perfect stay on Maalhos”

We had a great stay at Dhooni Finolhu on Maalhos and would definitely recommend it. Martin is a very kind host and he will make sure that you have a very nice stay in his guesthouse. The room was clean and very spacious. We also liked the delicious food served at Vaataru Cafe (belong's to Martin & you will have breakfast there). It's a place where local & tourists can meet. I suggest you to try the Valhomad Kohthu Roshi for lunch or dinner. Martin will arrange the transfer to Maalhos for you and he can also arrange different island excursions if you wish. We learned a lot about the island and the Maldives in general from Martin. He will gladly tell you about his home and answer all your questions. Maalhos is definitely the local island you should visit on your trip to the Maldives!

“Make your dreams true for reasonable cost in the best guest house”

Cannot put anything but 10/10. Spent five amazing days with during honeymoon here, in Sep 2022. Top level communication, organization, trips (Hanifaru Bay, picnic on inhabited island), excursions etc. Clean rooms, showers with hot water, good wifi (watched Netflix without issues), number of towels. And - and I mean it - absolutely fantastic food. Spent 15 days in Maldives, including resort, and meals in this guesthouse were simply the best, trust me. Host Martin will take care of you - from A to Z, you will feel that you are part of his family. Absolutely unexpected level of service, help with departure, arrival, organizing lots of things for low cost. You can trust this guy, he made our stay unforgettable.

The days in Maalhos exceeded my expectations. I have been to 5 different islands in the Maldives for 2 1/2 weeks and Maalhos was my favorite. This was due to several reasons. The main reason was my stay in the great guest house. I was there alone for 5 days and Martin and his family welcomed me so warmly that by the end of the vacation I felt like I was leaving friends or family members. The room and bathroom were very clean and nicely decorated. The food was super tasty and very much:) I explained to Martin that I eat vegan, which was no problem at all. The second reason why Maalhos is my favorite island is because of the cleanliness that prevails on the island. Maalhos was the cleanest island of all the ones I visited. And it was sooo beautiful there. I can wholeheartedly recommend a vacation there at Martin's guesthouse to anyone. I will never forget the time there!
