Very peaceful location, the family who runs the homestay is very friendly and lovely. I booked for one night but ended up staying 1 week. Getting to the place is bit of a mission since its in the mountains, so its best to bring some food and supplies with you so you can relax the surroundings once you arrive.But there's boda bodas in a junction quite near the house often, and water & beer is sold at the homestay & there is plenty of local fruit avocado etc available, and some restaurants deliver to the location!

It was lovely and scenic, very peaceful. The host family were lovely and there was plenty of food. My room was small but lovely, clean and comfortable. You have a toilet too.

Steve and his wife Moana are great Hosts. The atmosphere was lovely! They are always really welcoming. The Room is small but absolutely fine for two people. We had the best food so far in Tansania, prepared by Moana! Wow that was amazing. Steve also offered a ride early in the Morning to the Bus stand, so that we could catch our Bus back to Moshi.

How peaceful the property was. Moana was amazing with all the food she prepared. I never went hungry.

It was a great stay in Galapagos Homestay! Thank's a lot to Steve and his family they made that time beautyful. I really felt welcome. The room is cute and very clean...the view amazing. It's in middle of green nature. The bed Is comfortable, I got warm shower and a delicious breakfast with coffee. In the evening I enjoyed real swahili food,...Steve's wife is an eccellente cookI I really can recommend that place. From there it Is a perfect point to go for hiking.

I can recommend this cozy accomodation. Steven and his family gave me a warm welcome when I arrived. They do everything to make you feeling like at home. I enjoyed dinner with this kind family and learned about the lokal life. Stevens wife is a great cooker. The environment is quiet in the middle of nature. The owner organized a guid for hiking...that was a great experience. This place is very clean and calm and Steven planted many fruit trees with delicious fruits he offerted to me. I had a very good time in Galapagos Homestay.

“Lovely, welcoming and very comfortable stay.”

The Owner of the Galapagos Homestay is very lovely and welcoming. He took a lot of time to sit with us, drink tea and explain our questions about the sourronding Mountains and everything else. Everything was very, very clean, especially the rooms. There was hot water in the shower. Dinner was served in the living room and it was delciously homemade, containing of traditional tanzanian cuisine. Vegetarian (probably also vegan though we didn't ask that specifically) options were plenty.

Steve took a lot of time for us. He showed us chamaleons and a lot of fruits in his garden. He explained us everything that we were interested in. The family is very nice and we got best ecological local food

Lovely, clean & comfortable place for exploring th region. Steve is a great host, ready to help with anything you need. They also use organic coffee from the farm nearby, which is delicious!

We had an amazing time at the Galapagos Homestay. We spend there on night before and one night after our hiking trip. The Owner Steve is a kind and gentle guy, who made sure that we had everything we needed. He explained a lot of things to us and also showed some chameleons in his garden. The rooms are also comfortable and clean and every room has a separat bathroom. Breakfast is also included and it is also possible to get a dinner for a little money.

Beautiful place in beautiful nature, Steve and his family are great warmhearted hosts, that make you feel very welcome and familiar. Steve helped us to get changed a wheel from our car, we are very thankful for having met this lovely family.

Very new and cute house in the moutains outside Lushoto. The place is very clean and quiet, the beds are comfortable. The owner Steve produces many fruits and vegetables and will be happy to share it with you. He and his family are very nice and welcoming, and we even ate dinner with them! I definitely recommend this new homestay
