“Nice hotel”

Location was good, just near the famous cave. Breakfast was good, but too expensive, as not included in room rate. Breakfast room was beautiful, real ballroom. In general, it was my first experience in historic hotels of America, I enjoyed.

The whole building and lobby is very pretty and well preserved.

Beautiful place with very helpful staff and delicious food. ‘Inn’ doesn’t do this place justice. It’s far too grand for that.

Beautiful hotel. Friendly staff. Great room and comfy bed. Breakfast was great. Food in the Speakeasy restaurant was very good. Convenient location.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. When we needed them to help us when we got a flat tyre they couldn't have done any more for us than they did.

Character and grandeur - so rare to find this in handy walking distance to a nice little town. Luray itself, humming with just enough for a few days activity ( including Main Street open air bar, live music and amazing sandwiches - a lot of fun after a few hours good hiking ). Also loved sitting rocking on the hotel veranda in the warm evening air as well as the overall friendly welcome/service ( notably front desk and very helpful chief bar woman )

A 3 night stay with the perfect location for Shenandoah and local attractions. Hotel looks fantastic and is a hugely impressive building. The Speakeasy dining option and bar was really good and atmospheric, especially on Saturday. The room (Queen) was small compared to other hotels on our holiday. The bathroom was tiny. It was also a little dated and in need of some modernisation. Lots of condensation on the windows. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. So overall it was fine but could be so much more.

Beautiful old building in lovely grounds. Good atmosphere and tastefully furnished throughout. Welcoming fire in the hallway set the tone. Room comfortable with large bathroom. Easy distance from local sights - Luray Caverns and Skyline Drive. Staff very helpful and friendly. Speakeasy restaurant offered wide range of dishes - highly recommend.

The old traditional style of the building and its location. Easy parking etc. The evening bar and restaurant staff were helpful and friendly.

Reasonable value with unlimited coffee at breakfast. Speakeasy bar and restaurant was lively and used by non-residents which is a good sign. Food was good. Some nice old history books to read in main sitting area.

Close to Luray caverns, quiet and relaxing. Had an enjoyable dinner at their restaurant with good service.
